THINGS TO KNOW
The woodstove in the house's main room is operational; the rest are not. Guests must bring their own Duraflame-type log or firewood bundle, which can be purchased at most grocery stores.
The upstairs is an open loft with two open sleeping areas without doors; they are separated into two "bedrooms" by closet partitions. Please view the pictures to understand the sleeping configuration better.
Due to the wilderness setting of this property and frequent high fire danger in this area, absolutely no campfires, no firepits, portable or otherwise, no charcoal briquettes, no smoking or vaping (indoor or out), no Tiki torches, no candles, no fireworks, and no open flames are allowed anywhere on this property at any time. If you or one of your guests is a smoker or intends to do any of the above, then do not rent this cabin. Any such activity on the premises (even smoking outside) will result in immediate cancelation of your reservation and eviction without a refund.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles.

Security camera details: There is an active Nest security camera in the octagonal window in the brewhouse; it looks down at the front porch entrance of the cabin.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Winter fun
Cabin was great. Appreciate being able to have the dog with us. Hot tub is a great perk! Only issue was with the WiFi. Only works if you’re sitting next to the modem in bedroom.

Has potential, needs comfort and cleanliness
Overall, not a bad experience. It was a cozy cabin with a cool stove in the center and decent kitchen. There were just too many things that made our experience more of a burden. The wall behind the stove was dirty with food splatter, major turnoff. There was collected in harder to reach spaces but were very noticeable. Most notably, the top fan, which spread large dust snakes with bugs and flies all over once we turned it on. Lastly, the beds were AWFUL!!! We had the worst time sleeping; they were hard, the pillows flat with no cushion, and one of the bed frames was very noisy. Turning in the beds at all meant waking your partner or whoever is sleeping with you. Worse beds than hotels. Only two cooking pans, one of which huge and chipped, making cleaning it a bit annoying, considering how inexpensive cooking pans can be now days. New ones would not hurt. TV was also a nuisance as it was very slow and would take almost 5 seconds at times to respond to a simple volume change. We realistically expected more considering how much we spent, but it really isn't a bad cabin, just the details need more attention.

Property is accurately described. Very clean. Filled with very helpful information on the area, books , DVDs and games. 3 queen beds with one private room. Well stocked with spices and kitchen needs. Hot tub clean, BBQ filled with gas. You can tell it is dog friendly but that didn't bother me as I am a dog lover. Just note for those who are not. The ONLY thing they could work on is that the beds are HORRIBLE. Do not expect to have your best nights sleep.

Nice location to Leavenworth
Myself, and two girlfriends, spent a long weekend here. We enjoyed the back porch with comfortable chairs. We did some venturing out during the day, and the kitchen was more than adequate for cooking dinner in twice. We had issues with the heating, and nothing was ever done really other than emailing us to turn the heat up. Well, we knew that. Finally, at 85 the house started to warm up, on the end of the second day. By the last day, the heater was working good. Was slightly disappointed no one physically came over and checked things out, or brought us a space heater for the living room. We used blankets when we watched TV, and the mornings were cold. We were not told there was a burn band in effect and that we couldn't burn the inside wood stove (which we were told in the listing it was the only source of heat, therefore, allowed to be burned during a burn band). It got quite cold at night. We bought firewood, and had to return it. So that was a pain. Also, the bath tub could use a mat down in the tub, it was a little slippery. Otherwise, the house was nice, location great, beds very comfortable. Everything worked and we so enjoyed ourselves.

Nice, quiet, well appointed
Great place - close to fishing, a short drive to Leavenworth. I was there for a small work project but brought my wife and son and extended my needed stay a couple days. It was close to some fishing spots we like and an easy drive to Leavenworth. Went to the Reindeer Farm too - lots of fun. Hot tub is great. The cabin is in a neighborhood but very private and nice.

Great stay
The place was great for our family, equipped with everything we needed including full kitchen, games, good selection of DVD's and Netflix, a tire swing outside and lots of nearby outdoor adventuring. The hot tub was great, and it was a beautiful place to soak (it just lost heat at one point, but property manager responded immediately about how to resolve that). Overall the home was reasonably clean, but it needed dusting and the rugs were NOT clean and covered in dog hair - we ended up having to vacuum them ourselves.

Spring break get away
Nice cabin and amenities. Hot tub was nice , but did have issues with temperature control. We did contacted the agency and it sounds like this has been an issue. Some areas of the cabin could be cleaned better, but all in all we had a great time!

Blissful mountain stay
Access to the property is easy. Although there are neighboring homes, you feel pretty secluded — even outside. The hot tub was fantastic for those cold nights after a long days hike. The furnace was easy to light and maintain and indoor fires are one of my favorite cold weather activities. The kitchen was very well stocked with tools and we ended up home cooking all our meals except a couple. It’s very near both town and plenty of hiking. Overall amazing stay. Will definitely consider coming back!

While I loved the wooded location, the cordial welcome details and the concept of a cabin in the woods, we were disappointed with a few things. The cabin needs a deep clean, the refrigerator didn’t work (or the freezer) and the hot tub was questionable in water color, and the beds extremely squeaky and loud, which was tough with the open bedroom concept. There was also quite a bit of garbage in the yard (obviously due to a wild animal). I am not trying to give a negative review because our family enjoyed the time we got to spend together, but for the overall price and cleaning fees, I would not rent this again. Neighborhood was very quiet, safe and the Mountain View’s were picturesque. I had hoped this would have lived up to the pictures.

It was ok, upon entering the cabin there was an overwhelming odor of rotten fish, we aired it out the best we could but the smell lingered, the refrigerator also had a terrible odor so we only kept beverages in it. It was a decent place to stay but we will not be going back to the Cabin In The Woods.

Good location but dirty unit
This is a nice cabin in a good location. However, I cannot give this rental a good review in terms of cleanliness. This rental appeared to lack being cleaned at all. This was highly concerning as I have an underlying medical issue. I had just been discharged from the hospital (unexpected) within the 24 hrs prior to our rental stay. When we arrived tired and relieved to be at the unit, we were very disheartened to find it very unclean, with trash left in trash can, beds unmade, one comforter had stains which appeared to be dried blood stains on it, dishwasher full of filthy dishes, other pans and dishes ( in cupboard were dirty), hearth littered with chips of wood, lampshade askew, one trash can sitting in middle of room ( unlined), bathroom trash can left with trash in it, dirty tissue left on bedroom floor, bathroom sink and bath mats unwashed and unclean. Since we had driven2 hrs to get to the cabin, my husband and I had no choice but to find cleaning supplies and. Clean it ourselves so we could feel comfortable enough staying the few days. This was greatly upsetting as we really needed a time of peace, rest and calm. The unit itself is good but the owners need to know that if they are paying someone to clean it, they are not doing their job! Not sure I want to risk renting through Vacasa again.
