Unplug and stay awhile at this charming cabin in the woods right in the heart of Central Washington. Find yourself in cozy spaces warmed by a crackling woodstove and surrounded by glowing, knotty pine walls and features. Full-course meals can be prepared in the well-equipped kitchen and then enjoyed at the comfortable table. The living area boasts soaring ceilings, a wood stove, and a TV with a media library. Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms, which are loft-style sleeping areas that do not include bedroom doors. Outside, there's a furnished deck with a gas grill and a private hot tub to help soothe your muscles and your soul. This home is ideal for a fun family vacation, a romantic getaway, or a secluded writer's retreat.
When the snow is falling, head to the Chiwawa Sno-Park, less than four miles away, where you'll find cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails and hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails. The charming community of Plain is a little more than four miles down the road and is a convenient place to shop, find Nordic ski rentals, or grab lunch. Enjoy a delicious dinner, Sunday brunch, guided horseback rides, or a zipline ride at Mountain Springs Lodge. In addition to the Chiwawa River, you'll also find two lakes within a few miles, including Fish Lake, a great spot for year-round fishing, and Lake Wenatchee, with a sandy beach, a swimming area, boating opportunities, and hiking trails. And 19 miles south, the Bavarian-inspired town of Leavenworth hosts year-round festivals, shopping, fine dining, and wine tasting.
THINGS TO KNOW
The woodstove in the house's main room is operational; the rest are not. Guests must bring their own Duraflame-type log or firewood bundle, which can be purchased at most grocery stores.
The upstairs is an open loft with two open sleeping areas without doors; they are separated into two "bedrooms" by closet partitions. Please view the pictures to understand the sleeping configuration better.
Due to the wilderness setting of this property and frequent high fire danger in this area, absolutely no campfires, no firepits, portable or otherwise, no charcoal briquettes, no smoking or vaping (indoor or out), no Tiki torches, no candles, no fireworks, and no open flames are allowed anywhere on this property at any time. If you or one of your guests is a smoker or intends to do any of the above, then do not rent this cabin. Any such activity on the premises (even smoking outside) will result in immediate cancelation of your reservation and eviction without a refund.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles.
Security camera details: There is an active Nest security camera in the octagonal window in the brewhouse; it looks down at the front porch entrance of the cabin.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
