It is NOT two blocks from the beach, as advertised. We walked the entire street twice before finding the place. We were looking for a hotel, but the address listed is just an office with no visible reference to Case Vacanza (with inconsistent and limited hours). Then we found out that we had to walk our luggage at least another quarter-mile up a hill and around a corner to our unit. We sensed trouble when the receptionist instructed us on separating and taking out the trash daily. That’s when it became clear it is not a hotel, but a short-term apt. rental, though the listing her gives no indication that it is anything but a hotel. That may seem petty, but when you’re traveling and expecting little things (like TP and soap) it sucks to waste your vacation time shopping for things that you could have brought had you known to. The worst photos on this site are nicer than our unit. The weather was hot and there was no AC, fan, or window screen. The water heater did not work, which took us a few days to figure out. It had been turned all the way down and even after fixing that it didn’t get warm. The neighbors made noise at all hours so we seldom got rest. Scroll to the end of the page to find the ridiculous extra charges: daily utilities, linens, and cleaning (they didn’t seem to care when I objected to this because the cleaners failed to catch the GLASS SHARD IN THE BED that cut me made me). This place is that it was not AT ALL what it was advertised to be on hotels.com.
