The hotel check-in was chaotic and it felt impersonal. Once we arrived into our room, it smelled like cigarettes, it was hot and the windows were very dirty. We loved the open roof deck where we enjoyed a view of the city but the staff was very regimented about seating people and made it feel like we weren't guests at our own hotel.

We appreciated our upgrade to a junior suite. Our view of the castle on the hill inspired us to go there. A member of the front desk staff directed us to the most convenient way to reach that destination. We also enjoyed the Roof Top bar, and had three lunches there.

Room was clean, AC worked great. Didn't like that twin beds were moved together to make a larger/ queen size bed.Mattresses were rather firm/ minimal padding...only ok for comfort.

Centered location with expensive parking, that would only work for tiny cars. Very old appliances and furniture. AC and TV didnt work as soon as we checked in. Took them a few hours to come in and fix it. Were given coupons as VIP that only worked until 5pm! Close to everything, but dont go behind the hotel.

NEGATIVES first: I asked for fragrance free bedding and it was great on the day we arrived. On day two, they put on fragrant sheets that smelled up the room. In the morning, I asked them to fix it and when we arrived back in the room that evening, it was still overpowering and too late to have housekeeping remedy. I had to sleep on the couch under my coat. Again. The breakfast was mediocre and they wanted you to make a breakfast reservation. We didn't and we were treated rudely by the host. The water in the shower went from freezing to super hot every 20 seconds or so. It was a challenge. POSITIVES: The room was nice...we had a balcony with a fabulous city view. The room was clean and they provided bathrobes. It was in a great location. There was a convenience market next door. Would I stay there again? no.

The hotel is situated within a walkable distance to major sightseeing in Lisbon. The hotel staff were wonderful, very kind and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was delicious as well.

Rooms are very dated, old and dirty. Shower leaks and multiple elevators were broken. Bar was out of half of the ingredients to make drinks and the breakfast buffet was below average (stale fruit, coffee machines broken, very crowded)

This hotel is very conveniently located in Lisbon. Easy walk with no uphill!!! It’s an older hotel but is lovely. The service at the bars was slow but it seemed a little understaffed. The only real negative was our bathroom could use updating but wasn’t too bad.

Our room was dated and worn. The air conditioner took sometime to really cool the room down. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom lighting was dim. Carpet in room needs to be replaced with wood or luxury vinyl. This was not a 4 star hotel.
