Although the property is large, renovated and near central downtown area, the surrounding area has become run down with vacant buildings, graffiti and homeless in the park across the street. The roof top bar and restaurant are a plus as well as on site parking

The hotel is located to main attractions. The free breakfast was excellent. The restaurants have GREAT views. The rooftop is a must go for the vibe, music, and beautiful views. Everyone at the hotel is super helpful. We were having an issue with the AC and it was taken care of right away. Thank you Hotel Mundial!

Hotel was in a good location to walk everywhere but our room was a little bit older, a good size with high ceiling but a run down. It’s not a bad option but you do need to be careful, as it’s on the border of the best area to be in the city, and not the best at the same time. We had booked a king suite with a balcony but the furniture was dirty and we could not really use it. Staff were pleasant enough and the rooftop bar is great.

We should have stayed closer to the heart of the old city, but the location is very walkable. We received an upgraded room with tons of space and a balcony. Double sinks were a nice touch. The room is nice and clean. The property is undergoing renovations so the hallway carpet is ‘shot’. Rooftop bar is a bonus.

Our room was very large and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The bar area is lovely with a retro vibe. The roof top restaurant showed off great views of Lisbon. The restaurant is on the fancy side, and had very good food. The hotel is near a park, which can be quite noisy in the late evening hours.

Review

Mixed feelings but Overall I enjoyed my stay. Front desk staff very unfriendly and didn’t want to be bothered with questions, doorman and luggage handlers very friendly and helpful. Open to any questions with a helpful answer and a positive attitude. Location was great, Close to train station, metro and not far from the airport. Within walking distance of many of the sights, restaurants and shops and has a grocery store next door. Also the Tram 28 starts right out front of the hotel. The breakfast was really good and included with my room. Table was always available. Room had a wonderful view, comfortable bed, but the tv was small and the toilet was very hard to use. It was so close to the sink that your legs were literally under the sink. Hard to sit and get back up. Rather ridiculous configuration. Not sure if it is the same in other rooms or not. TV was small. Room was very clean but a bit outdated. Felt safe during the day but it was a bit sketchy at night. Would consider staying again.

We had a clean spacious room with a great view. The staff was exceptionally friendly storing our luggage so we could explore the city. The hotel is right by one of the trolley 28 termination points. Easy walk to several squares, lookout points and an elevator. Recommend buying 24 hour metro pass and exploring Lisbon using the Mundial as a home base. I believe it works on the elevator too.

The staff was not friendly at the front desk except for Thomas. The staff in the dining area on the 8th floor was very rude. The furniture in the room was very old and outdated. The sofa was dirty.
