Check in was excellent and smooth. The lady checking me in was very friendly and informative. The “pet area” is across the street, covered in feces and secluded with no lighting. I didn’t not feel comfortable walking over there even with a dog. The room was accommodating for our needs. The checkout guy was awkward. Very opposing to the checking in process.

Long Beach’s best kept secret
We usually stay at a major chain hotel nearby. But upon a friends recommendation we gave Inn By The Sea a shot. We are sure glad we did! The room was nice, spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was SO kind and welcoming. Took the time to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. They have a cute little store with snacks and even games to play with your family. We were able to bring our dog and they were kind enough to accommodate our ground floor request as stairs and our old knees don’t match. We loved it so much we booked again for next month AND in the summer. Cant wait to go back.

Overall a good stay
The room was spacious and clean. My only complaint is someone had set an alarm for the morning so that was an unpleasant surprise. Our unit was facing east, it was a bit noisy at night when were were trying to sleep at night.

Room showed heavy wear with dents in walls, flaking paint, stains, cracks in tub covered with tape. Two story building which was not clear in any photos and this room was on the first floor and could hear every footstep and conversation from neighbors above and in adjacent rooms. This property was rated 9 stars which is laughable and significantly overpriced for what it actually was which is a dump.
