Property was quiet, rooms were well kept. I stayed 9 days between the hotel and a family members house. The hotel called me and made sure I was OK, because they hadn't seen me. I was impressed by that.

The office staff was friendly. The breakfast in the morning was ok. I didn't think the fridge kept the food cold enough...made me a little nervous to eat it. The bed was hard. I think it is because the mattresses are on a platform.

Check in was excellent and smooth. The lady checking me in was very friendly and informative. The “pet area” is across the street, covered in feces and secluded with no lighting. I didn’t not feel comfortable walking over there even with a dog. The room was accommodating for our needs. The checkout guy was awkward. Very opposing to the checking in process.

Long Beach’s best kept secret
We usually stay at a major chain hotel nearby. But upon a friends recommendation we gave Inn By The Sea a shot. We are sure glad we did! The room was nice, spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was SO kind and welcoming. Took the time to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. They have a cute little store with snacks and even games to play with your family. We were able to bring our dog and they were kind enough to accommodate our ground floor request as stairs and our old knees don’t match. We loved it so much we booked again for next month AND in the summer. Cant wait to go back.

The room was spacious and clean. My only complaint is someone had set an alarm for the morning so that was an unpleasant surprise. Our unit was facing east, it was a bit noisy at night when were were trying to sleep at night.
