What is advertised is NOT what you get. The photos are WAY nicer than what is being offered at the hotel. This hotel has good reviews on Hotels.com (did my research, thought we booked at a OK hotel, but definitely not the case) and like i said the photos advertising this property definitely do not match what is actually there. Also, there is no lock on your balcony door, just a stick to prevent the door from opening. We felt so unsafe at the hotel, that we immediate left after checking in. Would not recommend at all.

Overall , good property. Couldn’t check in early, they don’t tell you that there’s a surcharge until you pay for everything. $21 for the employees “because they deserve it.” Ridiculous. We stayed one night for visiting Hollywood studios. Convenient, car garage was well lit up. $34 for each night of parking.

Blvd was walking distance to universal and has a variety of nearby places to eat at. The room was clean and spacious and staff were friendly. The only problem is out of the hotels control as there are several homeless in the area which made us feel unsafe to walk to the park. A shuttle from the hotel To the park would be nice.

To start, the staff we interacted with were lovely and very friendly. The location was perfect for our needs. The beds comfortable. For the not so great- the room we reserved was not in fact available. We reserved a two king bed standard and upon arrival were told they were not open. We were given a two queen “presidential suite”, which while nice, meant they charged us extra, even with a discount. The plugs mostly did not work because they were all so loose. The sink were designed so oddly that washing hands was no simple task and the rain shower was in a weird spot and the water luke warm at best.

Clean rooms
The rooms are very nice and clean. The only thing my family and I did not like was the shower. If you don’t have instructions on how to operate it, you’ll be stuck trying to figure out how to turn it on for a while.

King Bed Room Review
Overall the stay was pretty average. Our room did not come with a “do not disturb” sign and when we asked for one at the front desk they politely accommodated quickly. The curtain to the shower was far too short and the curtain kept blowing towards and into the water while showering. Showering with the light off in the bathroom was my solution since the fan automatically turns on with the light switch in there. The bed was comfortable and I did enjoy the microwave and mini fridge available in the room. I did not enjoy having to share a balcony and having a joint door to another hotel room connecting to mine. There was also no central A/C or heating available. There were still utilities to accommodate for temperature customization in the room.

- Extra service charge x night not mentioned in Expedia. - Very noisy old AC and fridge that didn't let us sleep. Fridge wasn't cold. - Water in reception out most of the time to force you to buy a bottle for 6$ from the self service shop they have inside the hotel just next to it. - Other minor inconveniences that where resolved by staff. - No views/awfull views. - Unless you go to universal studios there is no really restaurants nearby so you will likely need to get food from the supermarket if they are open. It is whithin "walking distance" from universal studios... however, you will need to take a shuttle as to get there walking there is an extremely step hill that kids and other people wont be able to do. Shower and beds where spacious perfect for big people. Overall it was okey but not good value for money.
