We had a great stay! We enjoyed the room, the pool, and the walkability to other amenities off of the property. Taxi service was easy, fast, and affordable to downtown San Jose. We would stay here again and although we didn't bring our kids this time, we know our kids would have enjoyed this resort too.

Beautiful resort! Recently celebrated our anniversary and a friends birthday. The onsite restaurants were accommodating for our larger sized group- great food and service overall. Amazing spa experience with massage and hydrotherapy options. The upgraded room with butler service made our stay even more special.

The front desk staff was extremely unhelpful. I have Expedia VIP platinum which provides a free upgrade and the hotel lied about having next category of rooms (resort view only) while asking for additional payment for an upgrade for a larger room with partial ocean view. The front desk and restaurant staff has also misinformed us about happy hour offering on at least half a dozen different occasions. There were also issues with noise and security had to be called almost every day in the middle of the night due to drunk people screaming/crying right in our hallway.

So So experience...
The hotel is nice. The view was great and the gym was well appointed. The beds were a bit hard, not horrible, but not the most comfortable. The food was mediocre and EXTREMELY overpriced. The "American Breakfast" was $46 (include 16% mandatory tip). We're taking 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes and fruit. I'd expect to pay that in a nice hotel in NYC, but we're talking Cabo here! For dinner, we ate at Cielomar on the rooftop. Great view and the service was good. Again, it felt like price gouging. My daughter had a 7oz filet and it was $101. I'm not trying to nitpick, but the same filet at an upscale steakhouse in Scottsdale, AZ is $71 (with tip)... generally, Mexico isn't a 30% premium to US prices. We also had an incident where the service staff entered our room without knocking. My wife had just exited the shower, and luckily had dressed 30 seconds prior. Lastly, we were charged $200 for a massage we didn't get. I have emailed the hotel, but have't heard back yet. Everyone was nice, but we've stay elsewhere in Cabo and had better experiences.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Viceroy. The views are amazing. We slept on the balcony bed every night. It was extremely quiet, and the sounds of the ocean put us right to sleep. Best sleep I ever had. The only hang up I have is that Drones are not allowed on the resort. As a creative, it would have been nice to capture some over head shots of that beautiful place.

Our absolute favorite place to stay in San Josè Cabo. No other property can even come close to comparing. The staff is amazing, pleasant, and helpful. A waiter went out of his way to be extremely helpful with a food allergy, and made my night. Our room was enormous, with a plunge pool on our patio, with access to the wading pool. The property looks very minimal, but offers so much. Tons of places to lounge near the beach, or pools, never a fight for a good spot. My only complaint would be the prices at the spa. I am certain that this is a resort I want to visit again. The butler service was, of course, exceptional. Both my wife and I felt more relaxed than we had expected.
