Great location
Overall visit was very nice. Location and river access was great. Dirty floors on arrival two piles dog hair. Could not get main TV to work with Dish Satellite. Was able to use disc player to watch movies. Easy access to Luray and Stanley was excellent.

Needs Attention
The full-size bedroom mattress HORRIBLE! worn out needs replaced, this cabin has only a/c unit in the kitchen struggles to keep cabin cool needs 1 in the bedroom. To access the river without walking through mud you have to enter from the property beside you. Ceiling fan in master bearing is failing will need replacing, between the mattress and a/c we had enough and left a day early!

Fire Pit
We were a little disappointed because we didn't feel comfortable using the fire pit due to all the hay in the yard. Other than that we had a great time! Definitely want to return.

Nice relaxing week by the river
Spent the Thanksgiving week here with the wife and two dogs. Great little quiet spot along the river. Good bird/wildlife viewing. We really enjoyed our week there. When it is cold, you have to crank up all the space heaters (still never figured out the baseboard heater, no markings at all) and the lighting is very dim. But those are really the only "bad" things. Had a great time.

Could be much better
Really really need to use brighter light bulbs in every room. Very dim everywhere. I remember that from my last stay, but didn't bring light bulbs with me. No firewood for the fire pit. Mice in the kitchen were a bummer too.

Our stay
We had such a wonderful time. The cabin was clean and well maintained. We will return for sure. That being said, a couple of improvements could be made. The bed in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable, time for a new one. Adding kayaks or a canoe as an amenities would be appreciated.

5 Year Anniversary
My husband and I came down from Maryland for our anniversary, with 2 kayaks, fishing poles, and our two pups. We had a GREAT TIME! We got lucky and had an amazing weather weekend! Cool nights and warm days. We kayaked and fished, we went trail riding at Fort Valley Ranch. We went to the Dukes of Hassard Museum and ate at Triple Crown BBQ which is a must, we must say! The cabin was just the right size, the location is AMAZING! We enjoyed walking the dogs on the lane each day, everyone staying along the way was so nice. Watching everyone pass by on tubes, canoes and kayaks were really nice, every was pleasant on the water. We had a fire pit each night, make sure to bring your own wood. cause you will want to have a fire in the evening and sit outside listening to the water and the birds. No issues with the cabin, except we were not prepared for coming in at 10 PM the are was SO DARK, the road leading back to the cabins is a dirt/gravel road for a long-distance and there are no lights, it was a bit hard to find the key box in the dark - this is not an issue of the cabin, just was so dark, try to get there during daylight. The cabin was clean and the porch is great to sit out on. The only complaint that I have is that there was not a lot of things in the kitchen, your basic things are there but I did not find measuring cups or spoons and no bowls other than cereal bowls so if you want to bring a brownie mix or such there is nothing to mix it in ... also I did not find a cookie sheet or a casserole pan. There was a small crockpot and a toaster. Overall we had a BLAST and would come back!!

A perfect location and peaceful getaway. The house was cozy and clean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and fishing in the river which was just steps away. We also enjoyed the fire pit every night. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. We plan to come back.

Good spot right on the river!
Cabin was as advertised. The entire backyard leads right to the river which was nice. Hedgerow on one side or property but house to the left is fairly close with no privacy. I would recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a getaway. The only complaint I have was I checked we would have pets with us. There was no spot to choose one pet or two pets. I figured it was the same price per knight regardless (which is a little steep). Owner saw we had two dogs with us, either from coming by to drop off towels or from the camera on the front porch, I'm not sure which one, and we were charged additional money for the second dog. That part of the booking process needs to be fixed because right now it is misleading and added more costs to an already costly 3 night stay at this cabin.
