Family stayed here late August. Had an issue with room but were able to switch since it was not peak. Room was average. Shower did not drain well though. Waterpark was limited. Looks like they have areas breaking down and no plans to fix it. The lazy river, pool, hot-tub and kids area were open. Nice beach. Fitness center and arcade were sub par and dirty and broke. 2-3 star rating

Love the waterpark and it’s right on the beach on Lake Huron. Staff is super friendly and hospitable. Very kind good people. Always have fun when we visit.

The water park was very dirty and rundown. The two larger water slides were shut down due to the frame eroding. When you walk into the lobby, all you smell is mildew or mold. Our room was okay but was not the same room that I looked at when I booked. We will not be back unless there’s a remodel.

Good hotel!
Our stay way great! The room, while it does need updates, was very clean. We did have to go to the front desk for additional towels, as they don’t bring them to the rooms. The water park/pool area was a lot of fun for kids. Beach access was very convenient, as you just have to walk out the door and you’re there! All in all, would recommend to others and would stay again.

The view from the room was beautiful! We had a lake view room and could see the bridge from our window. The beach was clean and had chairs and fire pits for guest use. The rooms need to be updated but if you are outside all day then it’s a non-issue. Beds were decent and we slept well.

Not worth the money!!
The staff was extremely rude upon checkin; the room had a tiny refrigerator that was on the ground; the Tav remote only had 1 working channel; the bathroom was dirty with piles of dirt in the corners and especially around the tub. The room was blowing 74degrees in the middle of summer instead of turning the air down to cool the 3rd floor room and the ceiling looked like it was peeling from recent probable water damage. For the outrageous price per night I expected better. There wasn’t even coffee available

Fun for kids but needs work
The hotel was quiet and the kids really liked the Poole area. However, there were some things that definitely could be improved on. The hotel didn't offer breakfast or have any food onsite. Furthermore, the pool area is in need of a LOT of maintenance. There was equipment laying around everywhere, moldings were coming away from walls, paint on the water slides were chipping off into the water and most of all the large water slides have supposedly been closed for four years. Finally, the carpet and drapes in the rooms were dated and looked to be in need of cleaning.

Room 218 has bedbugs. Woke up with bites on my body. Also killed at least 2 spiders. Table was wobbly and about to fall over. Balcony door was open when we arrived and found out it does not lock and no one told us to look for a bar to put in the track. Not sure the room had one. Our balcony chairs were on the balcony of the adjoining room. Overall the hotel was very dated and needs improvements. Would not stay here again. I sure hope they get the bedbug issue under control.

Lamp was broken, screen to door to balcony was torn. Had 1 towel for a room booked for 4 people. Bed was uncomfortable and tiny pillows. People were running up and down the halls and slamming doors well after midnight. Staff was not very friendly. Coffee pot was kept in the bathroom.

we were pleasantly surprised. After reserving the room I had forgot to read all the reviews. So we were thrilled that it was as good as it was. The beach had people on it all the time. Everything about our room was it should be. The employees were attentive and helpful. I did go to the desk to ask for more towels and promptly got them. Having no need for the breakfast or the pool, we were satisfied. Will go back there again.
