In my case i stayed in a room with private bathroom, facing main road (calle Atocha).. It was a temporary stay before moving to my flat, and it served my needs for that purpose. The room was super clean, internet worked well, and i didnt have an issue with noise, as there are two windows at the balcony door, for cancelling the noise. AC worked great and is needed in Madrid :)
Staff was also super friendly for my check in and check out.
If you are more of a loud/party crowd i wouldnt recommend it, walls are thin, and i actually wrote a message to the reception when people were loud at night. It was dealt within a few minutes and i was able to sleep well. So overall a good experience if you lo9ok for an affordable, clean place in the centre of Madrid.
