Sitting on a wooded lot, this dog-friendly, three-bedroom home has authentic mountain vibes while still enjoying paved access to town. Cataloochee Ski Area is just under seven miles north, and you'll have lots of other snow activities available at Tube World, which is less than three miles west. Blue Ridge Parkway is two miles away, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about a 15-mile drive north. You'll also have casinos close by, with Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort 17 miles west and Canton Game Room 17 miles east.

Inside, wood-paneled vaulted ceilings and wood accents help to provide the home with a welcoming ambiance. The living room is dressed with comfortable furniture, a gas fireplace, and a TV with Netflix streaming capability, the perfect space to entertain your guests. Peaceful location, beautiful home

Beautiful home and peaceful location with the creek next door lulling us to sleep. Unfortunately, the lights stopped working in one of the bathrooms and was not addressed during our stay. Would have liked a discount for that inconvenience but since the host was a third-party company, no sympathy was given and communication was sterile and impersonal. The linens weren't gross or anything but they are overdue for updating. Otherwise, the home was clean and quiet at night (neighbor nearby was blasting music during the day). The bear theme was cute and the home was spacious and comfortable for a family to stay in.

Our stay at Little Bear was such a joy.

We stayed there for one week and had wonderful time. The location is GREAT, private and yet very convenient. The house is very cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped and super functional. The internet is very reliable (we worked remotely a bit). We'd love to return some day. Improvements? 1) a more eye-catching roadside sign would be helpful since you can hardly see the house from road. We missed it the first time driving by in the dark. 2) the house is very clear but the carpet in bedrooms looks a bit frowsy.

Perfect family spot

We drove up from FL to meet our boys in college for Easter. We all had a great time playing pool and poker in the game room. Did some fishing in the area and used the well stocked kitchen to cook Easter dinner. Had everything we needed. Highly recommended

Nice, clean Maggie Valley home

The home is in a good location. Clean and decorated well. The oven was broken and no one let us know before we arrived. I made casseroles for our stay. I called Vasaca and found out they knew it was broken and they credited me $25 a day. The remote for the Main TV was hidden so it took a while to turn the TV on. I would suggest supplying more than 2 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels. You might want to bring extra for your stay. The game room is not connected to the house and is in the separate garage. It is heated by an electric fireplace so you will want to make sure it is on and warms up beforehand. Bring firewood for the fire pit. Beautiful view and overall a good, clean home to rent.

Great property and wonderful location

The property is located on a wooded hillside above a creek. It is a beautiful and peaceful location. The cabin was outstanding, clean, with new furniture and updated appliances, and a fantastic game room in the detached garage. My friend and I totally enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this property.

Great property

We loved the cabin which was also immaculately clean. The game room was awesome. We especially appreciated all the different games including the poker table. Only suggestion is need better lighting around the entrance since it was very hard to find first time in the dark.

I was very impressed with this house. The house was very clean, well stocked, and well appointed. Even though we only had a party of 4, the house was set up perfect for 6 as advertised. The house is a beautiful house with nice furniture and other furnishings. I can't think of one thing about the house to complain about. This is a house I would consider buying to personally live in. As with any vacation rental once fees and taxes are added your per night cost nearly doubles vs what's advertised.
