I stayed at TY Newport as TY Magor had closed for the Christmas holiday, this wasn’t a problem they gave me plenty of notice telling me I was being transferred to TY Newport the staff there was very friendly and helpful and the hotel I know is new but still very nice place to stay,I will be returning to this hotel if the prices are right.

The hotel itself is lovely. Room was fantastic with a walk-in shower nice corner sofa to relax on. The only let down was located as the area is still being renovated roads leading in had huge pot holes and not much around facilities wise

Very convenient hotel adjacent to the M4. Arrived after dark, in the rain. Check in process and room was very good. Hotel very clean and room well appointed. Daylight showed that the hotel sits amongst waste ground and a business park. Not a problem for us but may be for others. Although we booked room-only, we fancied a cooked breakfast before resuming our journey. Arrived for breakfast around 09:45, well before end of the advertised end time. We stayed for 10 minutes waiting to be greeted then decided not to stay because despite waiting, staff were not visible, there was no obvious place to sit (no tables cleared in that time) and there were queues waiting for multiple food items and drinks to be replenished. Maybe it was due to Storm Bert but I suspected them to be short staffed. After checking out, the access road was flooded due to the torrential rain. Would be happy to stay again but wary of the dining experience.
