The hotel is about 20 minutes from the city center next to a green valley. It opened in early 2016 and is the "sister" of Ubud Hotels & Villas which is nearby. The place is arranged nicely, great pool and beautiful garden. The rooms are spacious. The staff is engaged and helped us with some good recommendations/bookings for tours and a spa.
However, it is a pitty that there are some issues to improve. The rooms are not as clean as they should be. When we checked in a bit before 2 pm, the room was not completely cleaned. This is ok, we asked to get into the room earlier. However, there was also no cleaning of the floor in the day after, toilet paper was not refilled and we found a plastic bag with towels that were not ours in our bathroom. Also, it is a bit difficult to shower without making the whole bathroom swim. A shower curtain would help here. The light in the bathroom is a bit dark and at night, the lights in the (private) backyard of the cottage are always on, so you cannot get the room totally dark. The walls in the room are a bit empty, some deco would fit better with the style of the garden.
The biggest issue is the breakfast. Strong focus on Indonesian breakfast, meaning fried rice, noodles, meat, soup, but no eggs in any way. Limited choice of fruit, white toasting bred with limited things too put on (no cheese). We really hope that our next breakfasts in other places will be better.
