Myself and 2 mates stayed at the Jolly Sailor Fish on the Quay last night. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown immediately to our rooms.
Excellent and very old Pub with a historical feel - especially the staircase up to the rooms !!

Great surroundings, river great, staff really friendly, food good - all in all very enjoyable.
From start to finish a truly memorable experience in every good way
We had a 3 night break due to a wedding and was using the jolly sailor-fish on the quay as a central base for the wedding and all activities in the area
We were greeted by variety with a lovely smile and helpful attitude and were asked if we wanted to go straight up to our room or would prefer a sit down and a drink first and as I had just driven for about an hour chose the latter took a look at the menu and also chose to have a light bite
My option the ham sandwich with pickles came up well presented with crisps and a side salad on brown bread (and what a treat) ham off the bone and packed with flavour and in general all the food was excellent so much so that we chose to eat just there as reasonably priced and good value for the quality out of this world
My compliments to the chief he knows his job thank you well done and it don’t stop there from the roast platter which could of easily fed a family of 4 and at £42 was terrifically good value and packed with choice and flavour far too much for us two breakfast another great experience quality and choice from a big breakfast to a light bite and healthy eating and at cafe prices WOW
Having chilled and refreshed from our journey we ready to be shown to our room
We were lead through part of the kitchen area to stairs which led to our rooms I was given the option of two rooms and although the smaller room overlooking the quay and the views of the boats amazing

Great place for a stop over, very good food and friendly staff.
The pub is quirky and very old, rooms are a bit tired but comfy bed and fantastic view
