Waterside stay
The bed was quite small which made it not overly comfortable and a poor nights sleep. We had a small double room for 2 adults, but we thought the bed would have still been a decent size. The room itself was small as expected and would probably have been better without the chunky cupboard. The shower head was not suitable for the bathroom, as it was too big for the shower space and made it difficult to use the shower without getting the dry floor wet and without getting your hair wet (as my wife didn’t want to get her hair wet). The hydrotherapy pool was nice and staff were friendly. The breakfast was nice although we did wait for 20 minutes for poached eggs after requesting them. The check in area was a bit confused and we waited longer than expected as we didn’t know where to stand for hotel check in and check out compared to the leisure complex guests. The location is good for access to East Didsbury Park and Ride for Metrolink access to central Manchester. The bar area was shut in the hotel at 11pm so we didn’t get a drink later on the nights stay which was a shame (we were told it should have been open until 1am). In terms of whether we would stay again, potentially not, due to the poor nights sleep, unless the hotel could persuade us otherwise.
