The Savoy is an excellent hotel. Very close to NAIA terminal 3 and in the heart of Newport City.
The staff were all excellent, helpful and very friendly. The rooms I think are mostly the same except for a few suites. They are small but very functional, clean and modern. I appreciate having a sofa/ couch so that was very nice. The bed was soft and very comfortable. Fault service is provided at any time is the day so you don't need to worry about being out early.
The pool was clean but dark since it's covered for the most part on an open section of the second floor.
There is a bar, large restaurant and pool bar all is which were opened all the time. If you are from the US you are familiar with hotel restaurants being closed, having very short hours or only operating some days. This is never the case in SE Asia, reception and restaurants are always open.
The Savoy has many restaurants in the surrounding area from fast food to fine dining. There is also a huge mall less than 10 minutes walk. The area is very safe and modern yet borders more traditional Manila where you can find street food, many small shops, cafes, groceries and local flavor. Getting a grab is always easy.
