I was told it would be an ocean view and the sofa was broken cause when u open it for bed the head of the bed went down and ur feet and legs were higher than rest of the body and the mattress was so thin and smelly I asked for a better one but was told I couldn’t check sofa with out moving rooms cause all sofas are the same I was very unhappy at this hotel and will let my friends know abt it also

Great location and staff was friendly. Property is in need of some work. Bathroom was very dirty with mold and tiles falling off the baseboard. The bed was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. It had permanent sunken impressions on each side. Expected more for what we paid for our stay.

This is the cleanest and best larger hotel in the Atlantic Beach area. The staff is responsive to requests, helpful, and friendly. The hotel is a close walk to the beach, which is no problem, and the particular beach area is not over-populated even on busy summer days. Our family had a great time playing games and watching TV in the lobby in the evening and chatting with other guests. Overall it was a great experience.

It was a very nice stay, the only down fall is all the fees, especially fees around parking and early checking. Not too expensive, but why the parking fee? I have been to so many other beaches along the North Carolina OBX, and they do not charge a fee to park in a parking lot where you have already paid for to stay at. I feel that is a little bit much. The early check in, I can understand to a point, however, visiting other areas, especially the Nags Head, and the Hatteras area, if I arrive early and they have a room already cleaned they will go ahead and give me that room, not make me wait until check in time which is normally 3:00 pm. I usually arrive between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. As I did when I arrived here on Thursday. If no rooms are available, they let me leave my car in the parking lot, (never have I been charged a fee for parking there in any of the Hotels I have ever stayed at) and in addition I can use their common room where they always have complimentary coffee, tea, and juice, you can go ahead and walk to the beach, use their pool etc. until your room is ready. They will text you as soon as a room is ready for you. The hospitality is so much better. They tend to make you feel more like family guest rather than it is just a business and you are a room number. In Hatteras or Nags Head, you are treated as a “Guest” giving the best of hospitality. I am not saying the stay here, was unpleasant, the hotel was nice, however, I am a guest not a room number.

It was okay. It had a nice exterior and some nice features but then you get in the elevator. It was slow and always had a little jolt before the door opened. And the elevator seemed run down compared to the lobby conditions. It was kind of like they were covering up flaws instead of fixing them. That was not the only place I noticed that. Some of the staff were really good and others less so. I have seen a number of hotels over the last three years that are low price with great reviews and they end up being not so good. This is one of those. Can we trust the reviews anymore?

The area was convenient for eating and walking. There was a short 5 minute walk to the beach. The bar is only open on weekends so I can't say anything about it one way or the other. The only issue I had is that the bed was very firm, and I don't like firm beds. Other than that, the stay was great.

Hotel Alice At Atlantic Beach is a Gem!
The hotel is very clean and a short drive to Morehead City. Our double bed room also included a software bed, which was great since I traveled with 2 kids. The hotel is literally a 7 minute walk to the public beach and we saved a lot of money by not staying in a beach-front hotel. Parking is free and spacious. The best part was the late checkout accomodation - for around extra $80 we were able to checkout at 15:00, which allowed us to have an extra day at the beach, come back to the hotel to shower, and depart without rushing. I recommend booking a late checkout upon arrival and not the day your leave. Definitely recommend.
