It's in an area with plenty of retail but it's also easy to travel around the area on beautiful, rural roads.

We spent two nights here. Room was clean. Hallways and common area were not clean. Breakfast was fine, but ran out of forks. Day staff were snotty when our keys didn’t work.

We booked our hotel for your breakfast, pool and pets. Your oil is closed and the breakfast was awful. Juice was water with a hint of apple flavor. The sausage was so bad my dogs wouldn't eat it( and they eat everything).

Staff was nice. The sink in our room leaked and soaked the floor/all of our clothes and shoes. The hotel is pretty dated and moderately clean.

At first, we just thought the hotel was a property that had just seen better days, like a movie star who was 40 years past her prime. But the issues began: no soap in the bathroom or tub, coffee maker that didn’t work and then at 8 o’clock at night we discovered long black hairs in the bed linens. The folks working at the front desk were always very accommodating: they got us soap for the bathroom, they got us a brand new coffee maker, and they gave me brand new clean linens. I had to make my own bed at 8 o’clock at night!!! I found the mattress to be filthy as there were no mattress covers the mattress. (What?!?) Rather than sleeping on top of someone else’s filth, I went ahead and flipped the mattress. This seems like a lot of stuff that went wrong and I would like a big chunk of money back. Def not going back though the service was good at the front desk. Oh, there was a decent breakfast in the morning, although the eggs were pretty cold. But it was a good spread.

Disappointing inconsistencies
The Wingate was inconsistent in its appearance. The outside looks a bit rundown. Main entry room is nice. The hallway floors were dirty and often cluttered. We were there three days and it never got better. The room was clean, the bed comfy, appliances worked, plenty of seating and space. The evenings were quiet, however they were doing something to the room across the hall and had all the furniture in the hall for several days with noisy construction sounds during the day. The breakfast was average, but hot and filling. I believe they said they had a pool, however it was pool and gym access in the next door building with a validation ticket. That was disappointing. There was a popcorn machine in the lobby but never any popcorn. I even asked about it and was told it was made in the evening. But it wasn't made the whole time we were there. I guess there were some little things like that that bothered me, including having to ask for shampoo and soap for the room. I'm not sure I would stay there again.

I was somewhat disappointed. I had requested a mobility access room, there was no grab bars by toilet or bath tub as there usually is with a Mobility access rooms. I had to buy a toilet seat riser due to the lack of an appropriate grab bar by the toilet.

The hotel staff stole our property out of our room and wouldn't give it back do not book a room here in the owner is a as nice as I can put it horrible person that is very rude and does not have any customer service skills at all or respect for anyone and good luck trying to get any breakfast in the morning they're just rude all together and a horrible place to have or waste your money on getting a room go anywhere else in the city but here

3rd party ad said it had pool - Not on site. It was at neighboring Fitness center and children not allowed. Room Was dirty, blind was torn. Elevator was gross. Overall the building was NOT good. We left. Went to another hotel.

The place was extremely dirty. Doesn’t look like they have cleaned that place in years…. Lobby area or the rooms. Bathroom was flooded. Floors were wet Everything smelled moldy. Floors weren’t swept in either of our rooms. Honestly place was filthy. Was devastated i had to stay here for the night.

The hotel is much older than I thought. That’s fine, I’m no hotel snob, but it was also dirty. I’m ok with old, but there’s no reason a room should be dirty. I didn’t complain as we were just sleeping then getting up and heading out, but I would not stay there again.
