Not to my expectations.
I have wanted to stay at the YO since I was a kid. Overall it did not meet my expectations, the hotel was run down. The check in was great, the lobby was cool. The hotel room was a little difficult to find. Once we got into the room and it was nothing special. The bathroom could use some updates. The internet would not allow us to connect a tablet or computer. When I called to ask the front desk I was told the internet was fine, and no guests had made a complaint. Hello, I was a guest and was complaining. We ended up having to find a Starbucks to get our projects done on time. Check out was a breeze. And we tried the hotel restaurant, It was good, the service was mediocre but we enjoyed the food.

Yeah buddy! Felt like I stepped out of a Time Machine! Super cute and super Texan! Clean, comfortable beds, hot showers, pup friendly, and good location. The front desk/entry area is spectacular! The taxidermy was really awesome to see! The front desk staff was very accommodating and kind. I had the lunch buffet while there. It was ok, but not something I’d have again. Food wasn’t bad per se, but limited options and BBQ is one of the last things I dine out for. All in all I’d definitely stay again.

Got no sleep.
It was mid week and the hotel was not very full yet they put seemingly the only other people to check in the room right next to me. Ok fine but it's a conjoined room and the wood doors between kept no noise out. I heard every loud talking conversation and snore of the other patrons as well as their TV all night. Not their fault at all. Just wish they spaced us out just 1 more room apart.

Comfortable place to stay

Bad, but not quite bad enough for me to check out
First the good. The room was spacious and very clean at check in. I liked the balcony. I didn't like anything else. The room was very smelly and musty (Paint Creek for reference). Fortunately, there's a nice balcony so I could open the door to air out the room. Unfortunately, the bar is very popular inside and out on the patio, so the balcony was too noisy to keep the door open. You have to request housekeeping. At check in, I only requested clean towels every day. The first day, I got clean towels, but housekeeping left the dirty ones in the hall along with everyone else's. The second day, we didn't even get clean towels and the day-old towels were still in the hall. The beds are very worn. The mattresses badly need to be replaced. And there were ants in my room.

Stay was great the hotel has a cool lobby with fun decor the restaurant had really good breakfast, the bar was also fun clean playable pool table and amazing service from the bartender the night we were there
