Over the Winter we updated/remodeled this kitchen and we even added a dishwasher.

*This cottage is all on one level *so it is especially good for anyone who has trouble climbing stairs.

Four Winds is ideal for small families, including the four-legged members. There is even a fenced in pet area!

Four Winds #2 is decorated in a Surfing Motif that will make you want to hit the waves!

The comfortable living room has leather furniture a SMART TV and a Coffee Table with Foosball in it!
There are also SMART TVs in the bedrooms for private viewing and FREE WI-FI internet access.

A fully equipped kitchen including a Crockpot and Blender is all you need to keep your hungry family happy.

This home has a pleasant Screened In Porch so you can enjoy the ocean breeze without those pesky bugs.
Outside, there is a charcoal grill and picnic table for your enjoyment.
The outdoor shower has hot & cold water and is enclosed for privacy.

Great place to stay

Property was very clean, neat, nice amenities. Mattresses were great, and the towels were of very good quality. Property manager, Ronni, was very responsive when we could not get the TV to work properly. She came immediately to fix it and was very helpful. We will definitely stay again.

What a precious gem in Nags Head

We stayed at this property for our first family vacation in three years. I was overjoyed at how peaceful the four homes location was while still being accessible. It was my first time where the majority of the week it rained. This home made the rain so relaxing (best sound machine out there). It was perfect in size and renovation work done to this home smartly utilizes.the space. The kids adored the bunk beds. The ceiling fan in that room is amazing. I want one for my own home! Master bedroom mattress was very comfortable, better than any other in a rental ive had in the 20 years ive come to the Outer Banks. Grill was functional and allowed for delicious meals. Our dog loved being there. The yard is small but it gets the job done! Very short walk to the beach and no stairs to access the neach either. Immediately told my family about this place as we would live to vacation together but have individual space. These quaint beach huts would be perfect for joint family rentals. I look forward to returning. ❤️

Spare of the moment

We got a break in our busy schedule and needed a much deserved getaway. The place was great and dog friendly and only footsteps to get on the beach. The house had everything we needed to get through the week. Very convenient to everything around grocery store, shops, and much needed ice cream in the evening

Great small cottage close to the beach and allows dogs

This is our 2nd stay at Four Winds. This trip was with 2 adults and a teenager plus our 4 dogs. The best things are how close it is to the beach - very short walking distance to beach access both private and public, the fact that they allow dogs and have a small fenced in area for the dogs, and it is nice place with updated kitchen. We enjoyed our stay yet again!

Perfect little getaway!

We, family of 4 (pup included), enjoyed our stay. We celebrated our son's 5 year birthday there. So, it's now even more special to us! The cottage presented plenty of space and a sense of coziness that was appreciated after a day at the beach. The private beach access was an added bonus! Perfect for what it needed to be. We traveled with three younger families - 5 total kids ages 4-7. There are four little cottages on the property and it definitely helped each having our own separate space. Easy walk to and from the beach.

Good location!

Although this property is older, it was up to date with furnishings, kitchen stock and quality linens/towels and was very clean. Being pet friendly was a huge plus for our family. The fenced in pet area is small and landscaped with rocks and shells for our unit however, the is an abundance of walking areas to take your dog. Proximity to the beach was perfect with an easy walk less than 3 min. The area is primarily houses/rentals and not a commercial area although restaurants and shopping are only a mile away. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Dog friendly

The best part was the cottage was in between two beach access points- perfect for a dog walk loop. Great basics for a long weekend visit. Only downside - the beds were not made. The description says towels and linens but on arrival learned that beds weren’t made. We were informed this is normal for a VRBO rental and most people bring own linens. A first for us, we have stayed in a variety of rentals and the beds have always been made. Linens available were synthetic and clean. The blankets seemed a bit dirty so we went out and purchased our own. I’d say this was the only negative thing about the cottage. Kitchen supplies were good. Couches comfy. Overall, a great basic cottage for a weekend visit. Communication with the rental office was stellar. They were prompt with responding.

Great Christmas stay

We came for a short stay over the Christmas holiday, our second such Christmas visit to Four Winds. This year there was a severe cold snap, with temps dropping into the teens (Fahrenheit). The cottage is not designed for temps like that, but I'm happy to report that the heater was able to keep up. The cottage was recently renewed - new dishes, pots, furniture, linens. We had everything we needed for a low-fuss Christmas dinner. Nothing is fancy but everything is clean and comfortable. Like last time, we really enjoyed our relaxing and trouble-free stay. We hope to come back for a future Christmas!
