I can't believe the high ratings shown on Hotels' site for this motel. To me, the whole place seemed less than desirable, ill maintained, and not that clean. Thankfully, I was there for only one night.

We had a pretty relatively OK stay, the bed that my husband and I slept on, says that it is a queen bed, it is NOT a queen bed. There was hardly any room for the both of us in the bed. Cleanness was pretty much OK. They did not even have the toilet paper roll on a roller. It was just sitting in the toilet paper dispenser, that should be fixed. You should not have to take the toilet paper and hold it to get some in order for it to be used. And they should put at least one extra roll in the bathroom. I ran out and went downstairs to their main bathroom and took the roll from there bathroom and put it in our room. We ran out of Kleenex, they should check that before the next people come. It was just minor details that we had issues with.

The place was not clean. There was shampoo as hand soap in the dispenser at the sink. I had a ground floor room with sheer curtains and full curtains that didn’t shut. The staff were kind and brought me a binder clip to pull the side curtains so I could have some privacy.

The price was good but I would not stay again. Mold in the shower. No shampoo, soap or conditioner in the shower or the sink. Room smelled of mildew and smoke. Check in was easy. There is a Cracker Barrel very close. Walking distance. Overall area was nice and convenient.

Security practices need updating
The staff was helpful and friendly, and the room was clean. About what you'd expect for the price. The only problem we had with our stay was we at one point forgot our key card in our room. We went to the front desk to replace it, and they replaced it without checking our ID or anything. We just told them the room number and they gave us a key. It made us a little concerend that they might give ANYONE a key if they just gave a room number. So their security practices probably need to be updated. I wouldn't recommend staying here alone, have someone with you for safety.
