A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location

The room and bathroom were wonderful , and the room with a lovely view over Little Lake Jackson. It was spacious, very clean and comfortable . The staff were friendly and helpful . The breakfast isn't up to much as it is a tiny muffin . We asked for egg and got bacon despite making it very clear no bacon or cheese. The coffee and tea were tepid and not warm enough. It was also ridiculous that there was no milk for tea . As a result we didn't bother with breakfaston the second day, but bout something from a local supermarket. It sounds all very good getting breakfast delivered to your room until you get a constant noise of doors being knocked and staff saying"Breakfast" to other residents from 6 am at every half hour . It seems odd when they've got a beautiful restaurant that they don't offer a better breakfast in there. Another down is the restaurant doesn't open on Sunday evening.If they used that facility properly it would be an exceptionally good hotel.Overall we enjoyed our stay at this peaceful and quiet location.

It was a nice place BUT I was shocked when I checked in and was told there was a $100 charge for my little 10 lb dog! The room was okay but there was no door to the bathroom and the light switch for the bathroom was next to one of the beds about 6 ft from the entrance to the bathroom. They did reduce the fee for the dog when I expressed shock. The breakfast was nice and hand delivered to the room.

I loved the proximity to restaurants both in the hotel and across the street. Room was quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast delivery in the morning is a nice touch.

The property was really nice and clean. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The check in was realy easy. In my opinion, what makes a stay is also how the staff treats you. Sophia, I hope I spelled her name right, was great. She is really a sweet person and very helpful. When getting the luggage out, there was another staff member who was a man who asked if I needed any help with my luggage. Checkout was easy and even housekeeping asked if I needed help with my luggage. I would recommend this hotel very much and will stay again when I am in the area

Beautiful hotel and service

From the moment i saw the hotel i loved it. The gardens are beautiful. Then Sophi greeted us with a great smile, she is amazing, excellent service, friendly and very knowledgeable.She answered all our questions and suggested places to visit. Very clean and safe place. Our room had gorgeous view of garden and lake. Will definitely be back and refer all my friends here. We had breakfast by the pool. One of the best hotels, thank you Sophi for your incredible hospitality. You nake this place even better.

Very nicely updated and maintained older property. Older is better, because the walls between the rooms and the ceilings between the floors are solid and, thus, you can’t hear anyone else on the floor or anyone else above you or below you. The staff was super personable and eager to help. The dining at Chicanes, the onsite restaurant, was fabulous. Both the food quality and the service was excellent. The entrees took a little while to arrive, but they were worth the wait. A few of the menu items could’ve been more competitively priced, but I’d rather pay up and be delighted than save a few dollars and have a so-so experience. On the appetizers, GET THE ROLLOVERS!
