We have not stayed at the Peninsula for quite a few years. It has changed owners and our stay this time was not to the same standard as before. The fridge needed defrosting and made alot of our stuff frozen and couldn't use at once. The shower needed attention as it sprayed water on the wall and ceiling. I left a note for housekeeping to let their maintenance person know about these 2 things.

Very lovely lady at reception However when I got to my room I noticed that the cleaning was very rushed I especially booked that room so I could cook myself some dinner But when I went to get the pots and pans They were still dirty from the previous client Also there was a lighter and bumper’s left on the balcony There was no toilet paper on the roll holder I was very disappointed And ended up having to go out and by myself some dinner Ps I do have pictures if you need to see them

We’re extremely happy to have discovered Peninsula Nelson Bay. Very roomy and comfortable for our large family. The kids and adults had their own space. Beds were comfy and large kitchen with complimentary items. The standout was incredibly friendly staff. We were allowed to check in very early after a long overnight drive, luckily due to availability. We frequently visit Nelson Bay so will definitely return on our next trip. Much appreciated.
