Awesome Place!

Clean, beautiful, delightfully decorated cabin with gorgeous tree filled outdoor space, fabulous hot tub, and huge wrap around porch. Very relaxing/rejuvenating getaway in great location! Nespresso machine was also a nice treat. There are a few other cabins within sight but it still feels very private and secluded and is just a short drive into town to boot. The bed was a bit soft for our aging backs, but no mattress will be ideal for everyone (just an FYI for other seniors). Very responsive property manager, who answered our questions promptly and provided great communication and customer service. It rained most of the time we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the porch/outdoor amenities (hammock, outdoor seating, Jenga, yard games) like we had hoped, but we were still able to use the hot tub, and it was wonderfully hot, clean, soothing, and just what we needed.A few minor suggestions for an even better stay/experience would include: (1) putting some ice trays in the freezer so that visitors don't have to go out and buy a bag of ice for drinks(2) adding a picture of the hot tub controls in the welcome manual so that those of us who are seniors and can't see very well in the dark (and rain) can figure out what the control panel icons/words are. (3) A few more wall hooks in the bathroom and/or bedroom for towels, coats, bathrobes, etc.Again, just minor improvements that would be nice, overall we really loved the cabin and would definitely stay there again!

The grounds were secluded enough to enjoy a needed peaceful and private retreat. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There were plenty of nooks to enjoy both indoors and out. Wonderful space!!

Relaxing Getaway

We loved our stay at the cabin. The relaxing music that we arrived to started off our stay nicely. The bed was comfortable, the pictures were accurate, the hot tub was clean, we saw deer each morning, communication was good. There's a property close by but you still felt secluded because you're surrounded by trees. It was exactly the relaxing getaway that we were looking for!

Attention to every detail

This property is so cute and cozy! There was attention to every detail. When we arrived there was relaxing music playing to kick off our relaxation! The decor was perfect, the king bed was super comfy, the hot tub was clean. All though there is another property about 75 yards away you feel completely secluded in the woods. It is the perfect stay for the quiet reset we needed. I hope we can visit again one day!

My husband and I travel often as we enjoy visiting thrift stores all across Texas. After spending the day thrifting in the surrounding area, The Horse Thief Cabin was the perfect spot to come home to. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the decor was unique and creative.

Anniversary Getaway

The pictures didn’t do the property justice. So many great details went into this build and decor. Communication was perfect. Despite the owners having nearby properties, we had all the privacy we needed and felt secluded. We saw 2 deer in the back yard on our second day. We didn’t get to enjoy many of the extras they offer because we weren’t in the cabin much but we always felt clean, comfortable, and relaxed!

Picture perfect house

We took a long weekend to our favorite spot in the Hill Country and stayed at The Horse Thief. The location was perfect and quiet. The house was everything needed for a relaxing time away. Cozy hill country getaway!

Great little house with a patio that is perfect all the way around. Games to play, nature to watch and a hot tub right out of the bedroom door. Met the host immediately and everything was in order. Only thing is fence between properties could be expanded so each unit is out of the sightline of property next to it.

Amazing Get Away

My wife and I came for three nights to unwind after the holidays. There are great restaurants and shops not too far away, but we stayed at the cabin the entire time. We came in at night and the property was beautiful lit up with lights wrapped around the cabin and through the trees. It was an amazing first impression. The owners had left a wagon at the end of a short trail for us to unload our car. We loved the outside property and felt like we had lots of privacy, but were also comforted there was an HEB about 5 miles down the road. Upon enering the cabin we were impressed it looked exactly like the pictures...beautiful. The cabin was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. The wifi worked great as did the satelite tv and the hot tub was clean, hot and ready for use. The kitchen has no stove, but the hotplate worked great. We cooked steaks on it the first night and eggs in the morning. We also used the grill for burgers the next evening. We loved the wood burning stove and kept it stoked every night. We also enjoyed sitting out on the rap around porch for our morning coffee. We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back again! 5 Stars!

Very clean lovely cabin

My husband and I rented this cabin for my birthday getaway!!! It was so comfortable, the hosts were so nice and made sure we were well taken care of!! I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone!!!! The fireplace was so cozy and great scenery! Very clean!!!

Perfect place for a romantic getaway

This charming cabin in the woods was exactly what I was looking for in a weekend getaway with my husband. It was adorable, clean, private and peaceful. We enjoyed our coffee on the wrap around porch and wine in the hot tub. It is also close to Wimberley Square. And last but not least, the owners are quite lovely. I highly recommend this property & look forward to visiting again sometime!

Great stay in wimberly

We enjoyed our stay and plan to return. Very quiet and peaceful place.. Can't wait to return in winter and use the wood burning stove. Hosts are very nice and really care about making sure everything is clean and guests are happy. Will definitely be back!
