We’re here for Sacred Heart University’s Admitted Students Day and chose this hotel because we typically book with Marriott and have always had good experiences until now. This property is not up to Marriott standards.
The room was extremely outdated, the elevator doors opened to a hallway that looked like a time warp to the 1980s. The bathroom had no fan, the sink wouldn’t stop dripping, and the beds were completely worn out and lumpy. Hallways reeked of marijuana, and noise was a constant issue. Kids were running and screaming in the halls with no staff intervention, and to top it off, loud hotel music was blasting outside throughout the night. I had to call the front desk at 9:45 PM because I genuinely thought a live band was playing. The staff member admitted someone else had already complained, but she had no idea how to turn it off or who to ask.
The only remotely nice part of this hotel is the lobby and restaurant area, which is totally deceptive. Once you get to your room, it’s a completely different story. For $251 per night, this place is absolute robbery. We travel often and this has been one of our worst hotel experiences to date. Would not recommend, especially if you’re here for a college visit…this is not the relaxing, quality stay you’re expecting.
