Our experience with Selina was a bit of a horror story. When booking the reservation (two weeks before our trip) I called verbally to confirm they serve breakfast (it was an additional charge), however when we arrived we were informed they had stopped offering breakfast service about a month ago. In our room we noticed there were only sheets on the bed, no blanket or comforter. We asked for a blanket, were initially told there were no blankets because housekeeping had left for the day and then were given a blanket retrieved from another guest room. This blanket had hair all over it. We were given a dirty blanket from an uncleaned guestroom!!! The air condition unit was so loud we turned it off and opened the windows to sleep. The final stray (there were other concerns such as cobwebs, exposed screws of missing towel hangers) was when we discovered black mold in the shower under the wood pallet flooring. The smell was so intense it clung to our clothes for two days. We decided for our health and safety to find different lodging. When we asked for a refund of the remaining nights the manager, Jordan, evaded communication all week. Attempting to get resolution was not how we wanted to spend our time in NOLA. We have made an official complaint with the city concerning health and safety violations.
