It was about 4 blocks from bourbon and away from the loud bar noises, safe to walk at night and the staff were all super helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in had a super comfortable bed.

The elevators weren’t all working and the ones that did work were terribly slow. There was hair in the lavatory and trash everywhere on the floor entry to our room. Beds and staff and valet were excellent.

Staff just did not care about anything not show any interest. Lifts always broken. Room never tidied properly. Mini bar not refreshed. Laundry got lost. All in all felt like it was missing good management and leadership.

Overall, the hotel is very nice. It was also spotless. However, the first room I was assigned had a musty odor. The desk attendant agreed to switch me to another room only after confirming the presence of the smell. The rooms are spacious and spartan. And the beds are comfortable. As for facilities, the hotel has some great restaurants (the seafood is a must) and a cafe. The decor is very demure. The elevator is a fitting reminder of the building's age: it's a bit slow. I had friends staying a block away, at the Virgin Hotel. While their rooms were certainly more colorful, I thought The Barnett was classier and a better deal.

Great location. Roof top pool was great. A/C in room was not that great. Improper charges on credit card for mini bar and TIPS on mini bar. Ask for receipt when check out because never emailed receipt. Figured why tried to pad the bill.

Overall we loved our stay here. The staff was extremely, extremely friendly. They were so helpful and very good at remembering faces and names. The property is beautiful and the rooftop pool makes it feel like you’re somewhere tropical. We did have meals/snacks and drinks at the hotel as we wanted to enjoy the lovely spaces they had. We were charged a destination fee of ( ) $25 a day.

The Barnett treated my husband amd i very well. We were in a safe and walkable distance from the French Quarter. They greeted and treated us as if we were apart their family. The ladies and gentlemen whom worked the front desk were absolutely polite and very nice. They definitely took care of each of our needs. We will be back to stay there.

According to them Expedia reservation didn’t download to their system. Spent 40 min at their front desk and missed being able to have dinner before their kitchen closed. Assigned a room with sticky cork floors, a shower head that kept falling from its holder because of its weight, and a bathroom with a pocket door that barely moved. Was charged an additional “destination” fee per night as well as expensive parking. Not ideal. Better off booking their other Hyatt location.
