I’ve stayed at The Brooklyn Hotel a couple of times. Overall, for the price, it’s pretty solid. The rooms are generally clean and it’s hard to beat the value.
Room 1: Huge room at a great price, but it was missing a bathroom door. There was also a shooting right outside the hotel in the middle of the night, directly in front of our window, so we didn’t get much sleep. Obviously not the hotel’s fault, but it is what it is for the area.
Room 2: Smaller room. The bathroom door was water-damaged and jammed, and the wall of the water closet was open—doing a #2 with other people in the room was… not ideal. The worst part was that the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion clearly hadn’t been replaced from the previous guest. The lotion bottle was about a quarter empty and had what looked like sand in it, which honestly grossed me out.
That said, for the price, it’s still not a bad hotel if you’re just looking for a decent place to crash.
