This was the dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. I booked two hotel rooms, and both of them were dirty as if they hadn’t been cleaned.

The staff here were terrible and discriminatory, especially the waiters in the lobby restaurant. They smirked, treated us like outsiders, and made us feel disrespected. After a long trip, we decided to eat at the hotel. While looking at the menu, we asked a simple question, and the waiter just smirked, pointed to the bar, and said, “you order there.” His behavior was dismissive and unprofessional, and he appeared visibly impaired. This happened on September 7th, with a skinny waiter (African accent) and his tall coworker. The whole interaction left us feeling like we were treated as trash. On top of that, the hotel is isolated, with no restaurants nearby, you’ll need to drive a good distance to find food. Their parking system is also a complete hassle. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I would never stay here again. I regret booking this place and caution anyone considering it.

We ordered steak and it had clearly been frozen. It was still frozen or raw on the inside. Our room was 530 which was around the corner from 528-535??? Took us a while to find it and messed up the door dasher order as well.

I arrives early and they checked me right in, the staff was super nice and very welcoming. The room was very clean, nice and smell good. I’m very happy with my stay and wish I could stay one more day. So peaceful and relaxing.

My experience at the DoubleThree by Hilton

This hotel is wonderful, it met all my expectations. I only spent one night there. The buffet-type breakfast is very tasty and everything, the beautiful views are the same both outside and inside the hotel. I wouldn't think twice about booking here again. And very good treatment at the reception, they were very kind!!

We have stayed here previously. However, this year the hotel is in further disrepair. The lobby is renovated and the rooms are poorly taken care of. The rooms need a gut renovation to match the normal Hilton standard.

The elevators reeked of marijuana and my room was dirty (also missing an hairdryer). I tried contacting the front office (through phone and even going down to the lobby), but I couldn’t get a hold of anyone and it took a while before I could get a hairdryer in the room. During the stay, I could hear everything coming from the hallways and even the swimming pool area (it was hard to fall asleep). It was nice that there was a hotel shuttle readily available and it was easy to call rideshares to the hotel, but I’m not sure if I would like to come back to this hotel next time I am in Newark.

Very Disappointing

There was nothing special but the most disappointing thing was breakfast. They said it was a buffet in the restaurant, that is what it said on line and in the hotel. It was not included so we had to pay which is fine, but if I am paying for breakfast at a Double Tree then I am expecting something pretty good. This was so disappointing because it was not a restaurant just a sitting area and the buffet was at best a continental breakfast. Which anywhere else would have been free, but you choose to charge $25 for adults. Anything cooked was done in microwave or was cereal that I put in a paper bowl. I am not one to complain but as far as I am concerned that is not what is expected at a Double Tree or Hilton property. There was nothing that made me want to stay there again or any other hotel of the same caliber. This is sad because we travel a lot with our family.

Front desk lady was AMAZING.. very nice and helpful... the driver shuttle from the hotel to the airport was extremely rude with me and with other customer... It seems that he wasn't haveing a good day... but it was not our fault... super bad attitude and service from him.
