I met with my sister and nieces for a night getaway. 1/2 way for us. I found the compass rose inn in my search! I’m so glad I did. We had the outside room. 2 queen beds. Sadie the manager was so wonderful. The place is very quaint. Cozy. We will definitely be going there again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The room had all the amenities needed. The rooms were bright and clean, the hosts were warm and helpful with area questions. Walk to stores and restaurants, very easy to leave car. Great stay after beach in the morning.

Very enjoyable experience in all ways. Kim was a welcoming and wonderful host and inn keep. Intend on staying here again next time we're in the area. Loved the newly created (early 2000s) but intentionally older looking federal style build and architecture. The only slightly negative I can think of is you can hear your upstairs/downstairs neighbor walking around or talking in anything higher than a regular volume but they have "quiet hours" and have done all they can to accommodate that issue. As I said, doesn't change my thoughts at all about staying at this B&B in the future.

This is a lovely inn with very hospitable staff. Breakfast had numerous choices and was delicious. The location was perfect for walking around downtown. Would love to return.

Kim and Addison were wonderful hosts. Compass Rose has cozy and beautiful indoor and outdoor space. Within walking to the wharf park, lots of shopping and eating places to explore. Central to a lot of New England. Newburyport is a charming town!

The innkeeper was very welcoming and the inn is both comfortable and low-key. The perfect spot to make your base for both walking to Newburyport’s many attractions or easy day trips in the area.

Great location, walking distance to everything. Allows us a zero stress gateway with off street parking, three room suites, common areas for socializing and private area with the fireplace. We bring extra duraflame logs.
