I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Dover and had an overall positive experience. The hotel offers several perks, making it a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers. Being pet-friendly was a huge plus, and the complimentary breakfast each morning provided a good variety to start the day.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable, though a bit on the small side. The hotel’s location is convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and highways, which makes it a good base for exploring the area. The Wi-Fi was reliable throughout my stay, and although I didn’t use the fitness center, it was nice to have the option.
However, there are a few areas where the Hampton Inn could improve. The selection of TV channels was limited, which was disappointing, especially for those who like to relax in their room after a long day. Additionally, the rooms only have showers—no bathtubs—so if soaking in a tub is important to you, this could be a drawback.
Parking can also be an issue if you arrive late in the evening. The lot tends to fill up, so I recommend arriving early to secure a spot close to the entrance. Fortunately, the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free.
Overall, the Hampton Inn, Dover offers good value, especially if you’re traveling with a pet and appreciate a free breakfast. Just keep in mind the limited parking, TV channels, and the lack of a tub if those are important factors for you.
