The hotel staff was accommodating though be aware that most have very little English. The shuttle service was efficient and useful but be aware the route is circuitous and not for those inclined to motion sickness. We very much enjoyed the Hakone experience especially the ropeway. We walked to town of Gora though it is very steep. We could not play our planned golf game due to lack of available taxis even though the concierge tried. The hotel is really showing its age with frayed upholstery and damaged wood finishes and outdated decor. The onsen bath was very clean and quiet and kept stocked with towels and amenities. The ‘welcome drink’ offered at check in was just the choice of a beer or wine (half glass) or cola. The beds were comfortable with high quality linens, and room service was responsive. We appreciated the Nespresso machine in the room and the provided water and coffee pods. In all a relaxing stay, but for the price it felt closer to a seniors retirement home than a Hyatt resort.

Puja had amazing service during breakfast, and breakfast was the best meal compared to the other resorts, although I wouldn’t eat lunch or dinner here. The resort is surrounded by beautiful trees and amazing scenery, Ryuji Yoshino went above and beyond in service to insure our group was taken care of, I would return to shake his hand again.

Love the view from my room and the shuttle service after check out. The food from the restaurant was AMAZING!!! Didn’t go in the onsen because of tattoos. Loved the breakfast. Downsides they only have a laundry service and not a laundry room.

Staff is excellent! Onsen is nice. Mountain Views from rooms are beautiful. Food was very good. Shuttle service is a nice aspect given that the hotel is somewhat remote. Convenient easy access to the open air museum and the ropeway.

The location is good, close to the funicular station. Staff is very polite and helpful. The room was clean and with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Sleeping on futons on tatami floor was fun and no problem. And wearing Yukata feels special and Japanese.

Outstanding. Our stay at the Hyatt was the best, staff went out of their way to help us with absolutely everything and make our stay special. The shuttle service was great and so helpful for us to fit in doing as much as possible. The room was perfect, we chose “Mountain View” and it was a great choice. The Uzumi spa was very clean and had everything we needed to relax and wind down. Kids were happy and enjoyed the games and books available in the drawing room. I highly recommend this hotel.
