Here’s a review you can use: I had an incredible stay at Mt. Fuji View Hotel! The room’s view of Mt. Fuji was absolutely breathtaking – a sight that I won’t forget. The hotel staff provided excellent service, always friendly and helpful. The coin laundry was convenient for longer stays, and the onsen was a perfect way to relax after a day of sightseeing. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

Service was extremely warm & heartfelt. Owner, Kobayashi-san, welcomed me with a drink & gave wonderful advice on places to visit. The futon is very comfortable to sleep in.

A Life-Changing Experience at HOSHINOYA Fuji I recently had the privilege of staying at HOSHINOYA Fuji, and I can say with absolute certainty that it was a truly life-changing experience. From the breathtaking views to the exquisite attention to detail, every moment spent here was unforgettable—but what made it truly special was the kindness of the staff. A special thank you to the individual who delivered my cheese and fruit platters and wine on February 10, 2025. The genuine kindness, warmth and care in her service made it feel like more than just a meal—it was a gesture of hospitality that spoke volumes. That same evening, I had the pleasure of sitting and speaking with her during the movie screening. That simple act of connection, of shared conversation and kindness, was a highlight of my stay. It’s rare to find such heartfelt engagement, and I am deeply grateful for that moment. Truly made this Canadian in a foreign place, feel welcome and calm. I. Alignment with the beautiful scenery! HOSHINOYA Fuji is not just a destination; it is an experience of tranquility, beauty, and human connection. The staff here don’t just provide service—they create memories, and for that, I cannot thank them enough. Amazing hotel and perfect location right in the city centre. Room was spacious and comfortable. My back has been aching recently but the mattress in my room was very good and of just right level of stiffness so my back felt rested. I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast as it had many options and variety. Staff were really friendly and helped me order a taxi to my next destination. Would definitely stay there again.

We arrived after dark via taxi and were surprised at the incredible location and architecture. This is an authentic Japanese experience— tatami floors and comfortable futon mats!! We knew we would be magically surprised in the morning and we were! It’s nestled up on the hillside with an incredible view of Mt Fuji! It was a treat to be able to privately soak before bed in an ofuro (we imagine it too has a view of Mt Fuji in the day). Sunrise view in the room of Mt Fuji was unreal! Framed in the most beautiful natural setting. The guesthouse is clean, and the hosts are very friendly and well knowledgable in the area. And fluent in English! Breakfast was delicious and so healthy! A absolute must! The owner was kind enough to drive us to our 9:30 am sake brewery tour in town. We definitely want to stay at Sakuya Guesthouse again and hopefully also climb Fuji San!
