Nice, well maintained property. Room had a good view of the water. Took advantage of the whirlpool after dark with a partially obscured view of the bridge at night. Very cool Breakfasts were underwhelming. But we didn't mind too much since good breakfast places are to be found on either side of the river. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Only one complaint is there is no elevator so hauling stuff to second floor requires a little work but it wasn't bad. The views of the channel and lake are awesome.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Every staff member was friendly and helpful! *The rooms were very very clean *Breakfast amazing- had pretty much anything you could want. View from room overlooking waterway was beautiful!! Cost was very reasonable! Will definitely return and recommend to friends!!

The waterfront room had a beautiful view of the canal. The room was clean and had nice lighting. The staff was super friendly and called our room within 5 minutes of check-in to make sure we were satisfied with everything. Breakfast was average. I would have preferred more hot items like scrambled eggs and sausage, but they did offer waffles. The hotel was conveniently located.

Always a great stay! The staff is friendly, the motel quiet and the breakfast wonderful. We will be back as long as our student is up at Michigan Tech. I recommend stepping outside at night and taking a picture of the bridge lit up with the lights of the city over the water...beautiful!

We had an issue with the TV and the staff was great! Rooms facing the water have been remodeled and are nice. This is an older hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Paige did a great job to resolve our issue. Hotel is across the water from Houghton.

Nice & Adequate hotel on River.
Nice hotel on the water. Adjacent to a short city owned boardwalk on the water. Good mattresses, bedding & we slept well. We really loved the employee recommended restaurant list. Would stay here again.
