Sunset Island 4-C is a luxury bayside condominium located in a gated community. This three-bedroom, two bathroom condo has a balcony overlooking manicured lawns and a gorgeous pond. This unit is the perfect place for you and your family to call home for a few days! Sunset Island 4-C is one of Ocean City's finest vacation rentals.

The delightful coastal-themed living room is furnished with a comfortable L-shaped sofa, a cushioned chair and a flat-screen television. The larger sofa doubles as a queen-size sleep sofa. The sliding balcony doors allow plenty of natural light to brighten the space. Right off the living room is a small dining area, perfect for delicious meals with the family. Next to the dining area is the fully-stocked kitchen with an island, just right for grabbing a quick bite. The master bedroom has a king bed, a television, a private bathroom, and access to the balcony. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and a television. Filthy

The floors were black and when you walked you felt crumbs and dirt under your feet. The bottoms of our feet or our socks were black if we did not wear shoes. We could not use the second bathroom because they had equipment draining into the tub. This was not communicated to us as to why. There were only 2 chairs on the deck. The third chair was broken in half and shoved in a corner. So we could not enjoy the deck area. The beds were the worst beds we have ever slept in. Holes and scuff marks all over the walls. The property manager was rude and didn’t take care of the equipment like he stated Friday evening when we checked in. I asked about being reimbursed for not being able to use the 2nd bathroom and no one communicated. This left us with 8 adults to share one bathroom. The property manager stated I was being cheap. It’s a shame because the community itself was great. The amenities on the property were great. This rental unit is awful. Do not rent if you have kids. They play on the floor and they will be filthy. Shoreline properties are of no help.

Condo should not be rented

We were horrified when we took out the cookware and found that not only were the pans sticky, but there were rodent droppings in the cookware. There was food splatter on the side of the refrigerator, there was women's underwear and a bikini top in the armpit, and a wet towel was left behind in the bathroom. The mattresses were so bad we left a day early in order to get a good night’s rest elsewhere. The island/development itself is wonderful and there are terrific amenities. But this condominium needs a deep clean and the rodents need to be dealt with. Mattresses need to be replaced. There are a number of other issues - undisclosed fees, no linens or cleaning supplies, little cookware, etc, but the overriding uncleanliness poses a threat to the health of the residents. We left it cleaner than we found it and still could not bear to stay. Truly, we deserve a refund. It ruined our holiday weekend.

Great family getaway

Great little condo that’s a short walk to Marisol’s Cafe and the pool/beach. The kitchen had lots of appliances and utensils (toaster, blender, etc.) and a nice new washing machine. The patio also had a nice view of the bay. As with lots of rental condos on Sunset Island it could use a bit of a refresh in terms of paint and decor, but overall we were very comfortable, and the management company is always super easy to work with. Other reviewers mentioned the couch needing to be replaced, but we found it clean and comfy. Our only real complaint was that the master bed was SO squeaky (like if you move, it will wake the dead), and the floors were in need of a deep clean (pack socks, because your feet will feel grimy). Overall, a nice little condo that we would book again (if they replace that squeaky bed :)

Sunset Island vacation

The Sunset Island community is absolutely beautiful and well maintained! So much to offer and convenient to everything. Bay views that are breathtaking. This condo could use some work but overall is fine - needs more and newer kitchen supplies. Living room couch could use an upgrade as well but bathrooms in good condition and very nice flooring throughout.

Should be called Tow Island instead of Sunset Island!

Horrible management at Sunset Island. Our rental agreement gave us two parking spaces, so we drove two cars, you get one pass for the garage & one on the street. We got a knock on the door on our second day there being told we have to move our car due to construction being done in the garage. We asked where we were supposed to move our car since we only had one street pass & one garage pass, the person who knocked on our door told us they didn’t know but we needed to move. I called Shoreline & they said they couldn’t help because the property handles the parking passes & they provided me a phone number. When I called the number they told me I needed to come to the clubhouse & their solution was to give me a oneday parking pass for the street that expired at 6pm & it would be my responsibility to move my car back into the garage before then. I told them this was really inconvenient especially since we were on vacation & asked why they just couldn’t just give me another parking pass for the street for the whole week & they said they couldn’t do that. The woman working in the clubhouse claimed they knew nothing about the construction & until they spoke to the “owner” of the building this was their only solution and they would call me after they spoke with them. They NEVER called me & we couldn’t move our car back into our spot at 6 pm because the construction crew left material in our parking spot & the construction continued for the whole week we were there. We were never able to use the garage space we were supposed to have. The front gate ended up being more helpful then the clubhouse. After the clubhouse only originally gave me a one day parking pass the front gate ended up issuing us a parking pass for a few days when we explained the situation with the garage. The person who issued us the pass said it was good until the 29th but we were staying until July 2! The night of the 28th they towed our car and we had to pay $350 to get it back. Only after they towed our car did they finally give us a parking pass for the rest of our stay & the pass was marked as if they had given it to us for the whole week! Something they originally told me they couldn’t do! The woman whom we spoke to after our car was towed tried to place blame solely on us saying we didn’t answer their phone calls. This is an outright lie. There were no records on our phones for missed calls and they didn’t even have the sense to leave a voicemail. Unbelievable!

For the most part things were great. Sliding doors didn’t lock, ceiling fan in full bed bunk room didn’t work. Light on ceiling fan in living room wouldn’t turn on. Fit our family well just needed a few things spruced up.
