The only reason I choose this hotel was the proximity to the convention center. Will never return again. Is very old, dirty, cheap, the room is very big but, nothing attractive. They don’t provide daily room service, neither fresh clean towels. Very cheap everything.

We didn’t end up staying the last night, but never got refunded despite checking out the day early still had to pay $200 for it. Spent over 15 hours trying to work it out with Expedia, but couldn’t get anyone on the phone. The whole property smell like smoke and the doors locks were Really weak a little effort and you would be able to break it down.

Good budget friendly hotel. With that being said it is budget so lobby and casino area had a pungent smoke smell. Room was spacious stayed on first floor. It sounded like someone was moving artillery above us not sure what they were doing but two nights in a row. It does have great proximity to the convention center. With everything being said if you are on a budget or have a short day or two trip it is a good option.

Here’s a review you can use: My experience at the Mardi Gras Hotel was disappointing. The pictures online are quite misleading compared to what you actually get. The fan in my room was extremely loud, making it hard to relax or sleep, and the remote for the TV didn’t even work. Overall, the stay fell short of expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Guess you get what you pay for.

Hotel was in a okay location but little bit shady at times. I wouldn't really recommend for family with kids unless you’re getting taxis in and out. But if you’re adventurous and don’t mind shady areas then I would recommend. Bad points: The internet was terrible and the Tv didn’t work! Good points: Friendly staff, big room and the price was fantastic!

I feel like you get what you pay for. I expected a motel experience. I didn’t like that I couldn’t hang in the lobby if I wanted to. So much smoke it was unbearable. I think the food prices should be lower. It definitely could have been better. Everything definitely needs an upgrade like couches, furniture, carpets. It serves the purpose of me needing a place to stay, but if you go cheap, you got to expect the same. It was good for what it was
