Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
The location is close to the beach. The place smells musty, the carpets were dirty, the bed was hard, the staff always seemed like they felt inconvenienced. The bed had no real blankets, only sheets, the room was not stocked with any towels, requested towels were left on the ground in the hallway where people walked. The wifi barely reaches the rooms and consistently disconnects due to bad connection. Our ocean view, which cost extra, was blocked by overgrowth. You cant even vape on the balcony, they threaten you with a $350 penalty, not that you would want to because it was dirty. The TV was so old you couldn't give it away, typical, but not for over $200 a night. They pretended the restaurant was only temporarily closed, yet from reading others experiences it is clear that it has been closed for years and they falsely advertise having one. The elevator was out 2 of the 3 days, including checkout. Which meant we had to carry everything down stairs. As someone who only gets to vacation once every 4 or 5 years, I feel cheated. It will be a long time before I get to stay away from home again, but you can rest assured that I wont be staying at any Shiloh Inn location ever again
