My stay at Quality Inn in Old Saybrook was horrible. There was an issue with the AC that created so much moisture in our room that our floors and bedding was soaking wet. By the next day, all of our belongings were wet. The coffee maker in our room was broken, the iron was broken, they were out of water in the lobby and the coffee maker in the lobby was out of service. When we told the front desk about the issues, we were told we’d get 20 percent off on our stay. This morning, the manager said they needed hotels.com to approve the discount. I reached out to hotels.com to contact the front desk, who then called the hotel 15 minutes later, and we were told the manager had left for the day & that we were going to be charged full price. At checkout they wouldn’t provide us with a receipt, saying they don’t offer receipt for 3rd party bookings.
