Milan ramada
Hotel itself was clean and staff was nice, but they either have smoking rooms that we were near, or entire floors. Hotels.com said it was close to the Milan airport, which is why we booked there to head out of town the next morning. Hotel is a solid 4+ miles away from the airport with nothing nearby (no restaurants, nothing touristy) but they do provide a shuttle if you call and arrange for it in advance. We did not since we thought it would be super close to the hotel. Tried calling the provided phone numbers on hotel.com, hotel website, and ramada main line and was unable to contact the hotel. We happened to find a nice cab driver that had the number and let us use his phone. Once in contact with the hotel, they sent a shuttle at 10:30pm to get us, but the whole ordeal wasnt fun. Overall, hotel itself was nice and great price, just make sure to schedule your shuttles before you are stuck at the airport with no way to contact them.

Stayed at this hotel for a night in sept 2011. The rooms are spacious but the interiors required a little attention ( duvets can be upgraded to 20th century style ). A free shuttle service is available on call and takes 20 minutes to rach the airport t2 or t1. Service very good. Sky available for a 4euros charge.

Great Hotel
Myself and my partner have just retunred from a 3 night stay at the Ramada. The hotel and pool are lovely. I wouldnt say the rooms were 4* but the maid came in each day cleaned, made the bed and provided us with clean towels. If you are planning on staying here to visit Milan make sure you give yourself plenty of time as it is very far out the way although the Hotel does run a shuttle bus (free to the airport/train station and back at certain times) They will basically take you whereever you want to go but you may have to pay a small fee. The hotel restaurant serves great food ! The breakfast was also really good. If you have the chance and the weather is good try and visit the 'river' which is 5 mins from the hotel and accross the road from a Brizillian restuarant, its really beautiful.

Overnight stay close to the airport
We stayed in this hotel for 1 night in mid-July 2011. It is a very nice hotel, clean and very comfortable. Very nice restaurant downstairs and great breakfast buffet. I would definitely get the room+breakfast, since the food is great, lots of it and in good variety. Hotel has a nice outdoor pool. At the reception they gave us a code for only one free hour of internet (you have to use it within 1 hour, can't divide into a few minutes increments). We picked this hotel since our flight was out of Malpensa airport in the morning, and we lived kind of far from it while staying in Italy. So I would say this hotel is good to stay overnight to be able get to the airport faster - it is about 15 min. by the hotel complimentary shuttle, that is free only for 2 rides - to and from the airport. If you want to use the shuttle more times, you will have to pay 15 euro each time. There is really nothing to do outside the hotel property. Being bored we decided to explore the area. There is even no place to walk. The receptionist said that the nearest town where there is a grocery store and places to eat is Oleggio. It is 2.50euro one way on hotel shuttle that operates only 8am-9:30pm. So really besides staying on the hotel property, there is NOTHING to do. Some other guest told us that he took a regular taxi to get to the airport, which cost him 45 euros one way. To get to Milan it takes about an hour by taxi+will cost you a fortune. Take hotel shuttle to the airport, then take a 25-min. train.

flying in or out of Milan
There are not a lot of choices if you want to stay close to the Milan airport and Milan is about 40 min. away by bus. Take the hotel phone number with you and they will come and pick you up at the airport. Breakfast is not included unless you pay for it. The staff was very professional and spoke English. Beds a little hard, but very nice hotel. It was a good place to stay for an early flight out.

Ramada Malpensa
Lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly. The shuttle bus came and picked us up from the airport but we had to get the phone number off a taxi driver as the number we had from Hotels.com was wrong. The food was nice and the room comfy.

Malpensa Ramada - convenient
Very nice hotel in a small town. A little inconvenient to get into Milan; you have to take the hotel shuttle back to the airport to catch the train. Not much within close walking distance to the hotel. Nice if you have to catch a plane in the morning.

Nice Hotel - No Customer Support - Thumbs Down
My wife and I needed to stay in Milan for one night before departing for a tour the next day. We chose the Ramada Malpensa because it offered a free airport shuttle. On arrival at the Milan airport, we collected our luggage and looked for free phones to the hotels. There were none, so we tried to place a credit card call after consulting a help desk near the baggage area. We dialed the number as instructed and heard the phone ring. And ring, and ring, and ring. After several minutes the line went dead, and we thought the front desk must have been too busy to answer. After waiting 10 minutes we tried again - same results. We went outside and paid a taxi to take us to the hotel. We complained about the problem at check-in, and the front desk clerk told us he was sorry, but he had been in the office the entire morning, with no phone calls. He asked us about the number we dialed, and determined we needed to dial a leading 0 in front of the number we dialed (the lady at the airport help desk didn't tell us about that). He was very apologetic and handled the situation very professionally (but couldn't offer to cover our taxi fare). That afternoon we were able to take the shuttle into Oleggio, the local village, and back to the airport the next morning. The rest of our stay at the Ramada was very satisfactory, although the in-hotel restaurant rates were very high. On our return home, we found the phone company was trying to bill us $42+ for each of our failed calls. We were unable to resolve the issue with the phone company, and protested the billing to our credit card. Although we had a receipt from the taxi, we sent an email to the Ramada for help with a statement from the clerk who worked with us on our arrival. After one week, we received no reply from the Ramada (using the email posted on the web-site). Another request for help - same results. So even though our desk clerk handled the initial problem very well, we feel Ramada simply didn't care enough to send a simple email (not even an acknowledgment our email was received) to support their customers. For that reason, we're very disappointed in Ramada Malpensa's customer support, and don't recommend it to others.

One of the Better Airport Motels
The Malpensa airport is a long way from Milan and there are few options for lodging close to the airport. The Ramada is a first class motel about ten kilometers from the terminal. It is about what what one would expect from a good airport Ramada in the States. It seemed a shame to go to Italy and then stay in a Ramada Inn, but I had little choice because I was meeting a friend who had an early morning flight into Milan. I was surprised and pleased with the hotel. In Italy, you will get good food even in a Ramada.

Typical overmarketing
Pretty typical Ramada Inn. Near an airport. The advertised "free WiFi" is only free for an hour and on an elapsed time basis, the "Health and Wellness Center" only exists on the in room brochure, the "fitness center" is three machines and a mat... It is relatively cheap but it should be.

Ramada Malpensa-Fabulous Customer Service
For those needing a place to stay near the Milan (MXP) airport the Ramada Malpensa is a perfect location. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The 2 waiters we had were outstanding, funny, and extremely personable. The room was clean and had all the necessities you would expect at a Ramada. The pool was wonderful and the food was excellent.

NICE HOTEL TO RECOMMEND
I have been in that hotel for business and I get so satisfied that I will return again for my next travel! As soon as I arrived at the airport, the shuttle was waiting for me: great service! The hotel is nice and clean, but the most important is PEACEFUL. I had the opportunity to use my laptop in the main lobby and drink a fresh coffee from the bar. To be honest, the restaurant surprise me: I found a nice menu with some delicious Italians dishes, but they have also a small menu witch I found simple plates, like cheeseburger, sandwiches and different kind of salads served till midnight. The staff was very nice and professional with me. I really enjoyed my stay. To recommend.

Lovely hotel - Fantastic Staff
We stayed for 3 nights at the Ramada Malpensa in April 2010. The hotel is close to the airport and a shuttle bus will collect you from the airport when you arrive, if you give the hotel a call. The bus is free of charge. The location of the hotel, whilst it is close to Milan Malpensa Airport (but no noise whatsoever), is not the best for the surrounding area, as it is a bit "in the middle of nowhere". Having said that, the town of Ollegio is around 10 minutes away in the shuttle bus. This is a lovely typical Italian town with narrow streets and a good pizzarie. The staff more than make up for the location. They are so helpful and very friendly. English is spoken fluently by everyone. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they seem to be enjoying their job, which is not something you can say for most hotels. The food was beautiful. A little expensive at the moment but that is more to do with the exchange rate. Well worth it. Breakfast was included and was a buffet style. You can having continental, English or a mixture of whatever you fancy. Very nice. This hotel is ideal for business or for couples. Not so much for kids as there really isn't much for them to do. The pool looked lovely but in April, it was a bit cold. The Spa facilities are being renovated as I write (April 2010) so were not available but there is a pool, Turkish baths, sauna etc in Ollegio, 10 minutes away. Take a towel with you though. They don't supply them. Overall highly recommended.
