The room was clean but outdated. The soundproofing in the room was not very good; I could hear my neighbors sneeze, cough, and use of the restroom. This wasn't the first hotel I stayed at on this road trip, but it was the first one that made me use my earplugs. However, the breakfast area was very cute and clean. The continental breakfast selection was great.

Great value for an overnight stay
Good first impression - the flowers & pumpkins (October) just outside the entrance, charming lobby & breakfast area. These may seem like little things, but are signs the owners take pride in their property. Our room was very clean & comfortable. The high ratings I saw when I was shopping for hotels in Pagosa Springs are well-deserved.

What we expected
As the oldest and least expensive choice in the area we weren't expecting the Ritz. We called ahead to let them know we would arrive late, and were greeted warmly when we arrived at 10 pm and told if we needed anything else just call anytime. An OK continental breakfast. Overall it was what we expected at that price.

The bed was super comfortable. We loved the walk-in shower and hand held shower head and the many safety bars in the bathroom. No vanity area, just the sink on the wall.

Alpine inn was perfect for our stay. Small room perfect for the two of us. Coffee maker in room was great. Nice simple breakfast provided in clean breakfast area. Wonderful staff.
