Welcome to Ocean Reef 1601

Our condo is a four bedroom 3 bath beach residence that sleeps up to 8 comfortably because all the rooms and the living area are quite large. This past fall we upgraded our condo with an elegant tile floor throughout the condo. As you’ll see from the pictures this beautiful travertine surface gives this beach residence a very special look. You’ll find the balcony to be quite large as well with plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy incredible views of the world’s most beautiful beaches. We like to bring our binoculars along when we come so that we can enjoy our morning coffee while we watch the dolphins playing in the gulf. Sometimes it seems like there close enough to touch. Our condo is decorated with a more upscale beach theme that’s very comfortable. We wanted to create the feel of the beach without “shouting it out”. We also wanted to make this a home away from home. For us and our guests. We hope you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some of the unique features of this wonderful beach environment:

Amazing Stay
This condo is very spacious, absolutely beautiful and has amazing views! Gorgeous balcony and balcony furniture. Communication with the owners was very easy! Fans were in closets of bedrooms - which was GREAT! Would definitely stay here again!!!

**Hotel Property:** The staff was very friendly and helpful, particularly the parking attendants who assisted with the limited parking situation. For a 4-bedroom condo, it was frustrating that some units clearly had two designated parking spots while we were only assigned a single designated parking spot. Fortunately, they have additional parking across the street that is free. The main thing is that this hotel doesn't have any baggage trollies. This was very disappointing considering how many guests they receive and the inconvenience of carrying all the bags to the hotel room. We had an issue with the smoke detector batteries dying and found it difficult to reach property management by phone. It would have been better if they clearly communicated that texting is the best way to contact them. Once we texted, maintenance arrived quickly and resolved the issue. The property itself doesn’t offer many amenities, but it’s great if you're primarily looking for beach access. Ice is overpriced. **The Room:** Cleaning was very basic, with dust everywhere above and below eye level. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the pillows were so thin we had to stack all the extras just to get some neck support. I didn’t get the rest I needed because of this. The furniture could definitely use some updating, and the ceiling fan seemed unstable, making me worry it might fall. The AC control panel was barely attached to the wall, adding to the feeling that the room needed better maintenance.

We loved the property. It was large and comfy. The beds were not as comfortable as we had hoped, but they were okay. The view was magnificent and it was convenient to everything. We laughed necause we couldnt find the 3rd bathroom, but it was there! Overall, a great place.

My family stayed here for 5 nights. There were 7 of us, and having 4 bedrooms was great. The kitchen was well-stocked. Ice maker wasn’t working, but mgmt supplied ice trays. The pliving room now has a big sectional couch instead of the plaid sofa and loveseat in the picture. It was very comfortable. The dining area really just served as a catch-all, since we had all our meals on the balcony. Two of us are older, and the bar type chairs would not have worked for us. The balcony is spacious with lots of seating. A couple of chairs have rips in the webbing. The cover for the wall-mounted light on the patio was on the floor behind a chair, broken. The bed frame in the master needs some work - it was wobbly and very noisy when we moved in the bed. The mattress could use replacing. The master bath seemed dark, maybe just needs different light bulbs. Water pressure for showers was excellent! We have some tall people in our family. The bathrooms in this condo seem to have been designed for very young children. Check-in and check-out were very easy with no keys involved! Parking was adequate. Three elevators kept up with the demand. There is a lot of street noise, but it calmed down by midnight or so. The beach is very nice, except for a drainage type pipe that drains brown water right into the Gulf. Not sure what that is. The Gulf water was clear, blue/turquoise and very comfortable. The pool was nice, but small. Overall, a great place for a big family.

Early access did not work
We were very pleased when we received a text stating that we could access the unit two hours early. But upon arrival the early access code that was provided in the text message did not work. We tried calling all of the numbers but no one would answer. I left a message on two of the extensions but no one returned a call. So after sitting outside of the unit in the heat after a half hour I tried calling the numbers again. This time I was able to speak with a human but he told me that I had apparently entered the early access code numbers incorrectly or too fast and that the lock had blocked me out and that there was nothing he could do. So we had to sit there until 4:00 when finally the regular access code worked.

PCB 2023
Condo was beautiful, clean and lots of room for us all including the grand baby room to run and play. Only downside was the parking garage we drove a suburban and a Tahoe so it was tight getting in and out of the garage. But the week was wonderful and the weather perfect. Once again we had a week of laughs and fun times to to cherish. Thanks for the use of your beautiful condo!

The condo itself was older but nice. There is no luggage cart in the buidling so unloading is not pleasant. There is no free set of umbrellas with the condo and they are expensive to rent. No room to store groceries since it doesn't have a pantry. The reservations and communication for our stay was very good. Enjoyed our stay and the weather in spite of the little inconveniences.

Horrible communication. A bunch of stuff didn’t work. Door wouldn’t work and was locked out for 4 hours and she wouldn’t answer for the first 2 hours. Definitely won’t be back.

Girls trip was a success!
