Details The Getaway is a beautiful 1 bedroom with separate bunkroom (not bunks in a hallway alcove), and sleeps up to five (5) with king master bedroom suite, bunk bed and memory foam sofa sleeper in the living room plus 2 bathrooms and gorgeous Armstrong Prysm floors throughout. A washer and dryer are included in the unit. Inside The Getaway, water surrounds you outside the floor-to-ceiling patio doors in the living area. Whether you choose to play chef or mock in laughter as you take a break from cooking duties, you’ll have a fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances and chalk painted cabinets at your service. Enjoy spectacular sunsets from your private balcony and lose track of time altogether! The Getaway is just across the corridor from the elevator, so it almost feels like having your own elevator car.

Resort & Location Tidewater Beach Resort is situated on the peaceful west end of Panama City Beach and within walking distance of Pier Park, Dusty's, Hook'd and Margaritaville. Great place to stay near Pier Park

My husband and I went and took two teenagers with us. This Tidewater unit is on the 12th floor and is nicely decorated and has a bunk room, which is nicer than the bunk beds in the hallway. 2 br so we didn’t have to share with the kids. Walking distance to Pier Park. The unit came with beach service- 2 chairs and an umbrella, which was a bonus. Tidewater is known for having to wait on the elevators, but this unit is near and end one and in a pinch you could use the stairs since it’s only 12th floor. I’d definitely recommend this unit.

Overall review

The room and everything the room was great and clean. The overall room xperience was not the best of the resort. To start the elevators are absolutely the worst out of all the resorts we have stayed in Panama City. Next the pool was so nasty like it doesn’t get cleaned at all. There was hair an bugs and trash all in the pool every day. Also pool didn’t have any lighting for evening an night swims. Back deck also didn’t have any lighting at all to see with out flash light. Other than those which are a BIG deal the beach interning was great a chairs with room was great.

Clean condo! Beautiful views!

We really enjoyed our stay! Condo was clean and as described. Views are even better in person! We saw dolphins from the balcony daily, a manatee swam by one day and the sound of the waves from the balcony was great! We ate meals at the table out there and I was able to relax and read on the reclining lounge chair. The chair service on the beach was a real treat. Their staff was always super friendly and hard working. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Kitchen was stocked for cooking, which we did. We did not use the bunks but they were set up nicely with a tv for each bunk. Tidewater staff were all very friendly. Make sure to do the online check in prior to arrival. We saw many others waiting who had not done it, whereas everything was ready for us upon arrival. We would definitely recommend this unit to others.

40th birthday girls weekend

This condo was perfect! We booked it only 2 weeks before for a long weekend 40th birthday girls trip after a change in plans. The beach is gorgeous, the beach service included is a bonus, get down there early if you want first row! The condo as a whole was very clean and furniture is holding up well- pictures are very accurate. It is a resort so the perks of that is no fighting for carts, an unloading zone for 30 mins, on site restaurant, ice cream/store/starbucks, 2 pools, an arcade room and someone who sits in the elevator and takes you straight to your floor- sometimes the wait is long but there's always stairs! I loved everything about this condo, in fact one of my friends is looking to book in August that traveled with me she loved it so much. Thanks so much for allowing us to rent your beautiful place, looking foreard to comong back here!

Summer vacation

We had a great time!! The room was clean and updated. The decor was great also! The only down side was the elevators which I know the owners can’t control. Just be mindful of peak times. Other than that the parking garage was great, and clean. The trash chute areas were clean also. The pools were great! And the beach access was amazing!!! Plus having two chair and umbrella right outside your room was amazing!! We had a great time!

Great place

This place was great. It was clean and the check in process was very easy. Make sure you register for parking the day before, it made the check in quick. The kids loved the bunk beds and their own bathroom. Everything about the rental was awesome. But the elevators during check in and check out times take a long time, be prepared to wait, that is the building not the unit. Overall wonderful stay with a small family.

Me and my freind enjoyed our stay at Tidewater. Liked the walk way connection to the parking deck.

Me and my friend really liked and enjoyed Tidewater. Pre - registration made check in easy. We love that they have their own parking deck ,and a walk way that leads to where you check in/ check out. You can also check out luggage carts and shopping carts for your luggage and groceries. We liked that it is right by pier park , which is a cool and fun place to hang out.

Great except for the elevators

This is my 4th year going to Panama City beach and this has been the best room I’ve had. I will definitely use 4 star condo services again! The room was well stocked with essentials we needed for a few days The room was clean. The layout was good and the view was amazing. I loved the bed. I wished I could take it with me! The location was great. We were close to pier park, walmart, target, and Winn Dixie. I read the reviews complaining about the elevators and thought it exaggerated but it was not. We waited as long as 20 minutes for an elevator. I can’t imagine trying to reign in small children with a wait like that. Everything else was amazing.

Cute and cozy

We loved this condo and it’s view and access to the beach. The 12th floor was the perfect vantage point for a fantastic three day weekend. The property wasn’t stocked as well as other Vrbo’s I have rented; no coffee, dish soap, dishwasher detergent etc. but we were fine for the short time we were there. The condo was immaculate and the resort was nice and there were a few things in the on-site market if you forgot something. We didn’t try the restaurant. Despite construction in front of the property parking in the garage across the street was effortless. Drawbacks, noisy. All of our surrounding neighbors were apparently having a better time than we were! Also most every review has complained about the elevator situation. The struggle is real. We learned quickly to get on the first elevator that opened and either go up to go down or visa versa until you got to your desired floor. Security was very visible and we felt very safe during our stay for sure.
