The hotel is in Paris and as such was on the small size. The bathroom is small and only enough room for 1 person in it at a time. The shower was a cubicle type, but shower door had been removed and replaced with a shower curtain, which was cold and stuck to you when showering. The room was cleaned every day. We were on the front of the hotel which did have some noise at night from the surrounding restaurants, but didn't bother us as we like being in the heart of the city. A single wardrobe with a rail and only one shelf didn't have enough room for folded clothes. They were left in the suitcase. Reception staff were always happy and very helpful with any questions. A budget hotel that I would stay at again.

Location is great, staff are lovely, nice size room with a view, but if you want to see Paris don't book here as the bed and pillow make you feel like you are sleeping on a cloud that you don't want to leave.

Don’t do it

If the price was more reasonable, this would be a good deal. But with the prices it’s ridiculous how disgusting this place is. Very dirty, very loud, and the room smelled like sewage.

Two night transit stop

Two night stay, arrived very late(12:15am) due to issues with trains but really helpful at check in. Location great for metro (outside), plenty of bars/restaurants close by. Room ok, but light inside the door wasn't working. One of the bedside reading lights not working. Shaving mirror in bathroom broken on one side and large pieces missing. Bathroom could do with steam cleaning in corners. Have to comment on the lift - never seen a lift so small before 😁😁

A good price/quality/location choice

We are regular clients of the Hipotel Voltaire. The price/quality/location ratio works great for us. It is a no frills hotel, the rooms are very clean, spacious for Paris, and when possible you get an upgraded room. The staff is always nice, helpful and professional. Bathrooms are on the smaller side, but with good hot shower/pressure. Unlike most hotels of that category in Paris they provide an electric kettle with tea bags and instant coffee.
