In the middle of a heatwave, I was given a room where the air conditioning did not work. Calling reception did not help: the phone didnot work (receptionist told me later he was fully aware that it did not work). Went back downstairs, got receptionist to come back with me. He swore that the aircon was working, just slow to start. He put his hand in front of vent, reinforced that it was working. Left.
An hour later, I had to go back down as aircon definitely was never going to start.
I asked for another room. "We haven’t got any". I looked incredulous. Five minutes later: "Let me see... yes we do have one. But the aircon doesn't work. There's nothing I can do about it! The boss doesn't want to invest in changing it!"
"So you mean to say, you knew full well the aircon was not working in the previous room? And you still told me it would?"
"Yes! There's nothing I can do about it!"
Absolute nonsense from start to finish, with utterly unpleasant, flippant attitude from this receptionist.
This hotel is overpriced for very dated, tired rooms and carpets, and completely useless, almost hostile service.
