Great stay with no fuss. Near to metro stations. Staffs are friendly. Downside is the city tax is not included in the price even though it says taxes and fees included. Hotels.com has a big problem with their listings in France as almost all the places that I’ve stayed in with them the prices excludes city tax unlike booking.com
We were three adults traveling through Paris for five nights. We enjoyed our stay at Palma hotel. The room was very cute and served us well. It would work for up to four people, but was small for the three of us with one large suitcase each (small-like most Europe hotel rooms). The staff was always friendly, courteous, and helpful. Overall, we were happy to stay there and would stay again.
It was a clean comfortable hotel and good value for money, however very noisy even with the windows closed, a lot of service vehicles and a police station close by. traffic stated early.
There was a taxi cab nearby and good local shops and cafes.
Very conveniently located near the metro station. The breakfast was not substantial, but the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was heavenly after being out in the hot sun all day! Shower stall was very small, but water flow was good.
I stayed here in May for a couple of nights and was happy to stay here again when I planned another trip to Paris in November. Reasonable price reflects the hotel being slightly out of the centre, but everywhere is easily accessible from Gambetta. I recommend getting a one-day travel card (moblis) and exploring the metro.
This hotel has good reviews and 3 stars but my experience unfortunately was not.
The first room I was given smelled of smoke, including the bed sheets, and the underside of the quilt was stained yellow and the wool blanket had hairs stuck in it. I was moved to a new room and I discovered ants crawling on the floor! They were coming out of the tiny holes beneath the shower stall in the bathroom. I took videos and showed the man at the desk and he offered me a can of bug spray or the option of another new room (he showed me 2 available rooms) but at this point after 2 poor rooms I was very wary of what I would discover in room 3 so I chose to stay in the room with the ants for my first night. I said no to the bug spray because that shouldn't be sprayed in closed quarters and breathed in but I did get an extra bed sheet.
In the morning the manager encouraged me to move to a new room and after discussing my hesitations I agreed to move. To be honest I didn't actually sleep in that room that 2nd night, I was able to stay with a friend who was in town so I can't say how the room was.
I do think the bed linens and curtains should be updated and much closer attention to detail is needed when cleaning, but the staff were kind and understanding and prompt when I brought my concerns. They said that my experience was not the usual but they agreed that it was unfortunate for me. When I checked out the manager did give me a sweet Paris souvenir as a gift.
Nice and clean, next to Gambetta station, 35-45 minutes by metro to Louvre or central Paris. Tiny room with no space for large suitcases, so open and close or you skip over luggages. Toilet is spacious and newly renovated. police station is loud so keep windows closed. Summer could be hot as aircon does not work. Was charged an additional €14.85 upon checkout for city taxes for 3 nights.
The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was nice. The hotel has very good access to public transport and a taxi line is very close by. Nice safe area.
Exactly what I expected from a smaller hotel in Paris. All around good or better quality at a reasonable price. I was not disappointed. I would stay here again.
This hotel is excellent for the single or couple traveller(s). It is opposite a police station, post office and there are numerous bars in the nearby square where there is a metro station, bus terminus and Macdonalds. The staff are helpful. If you want to visit the Pere Lachaise Cemetery that is also close which is why I chose it. Full marks overall, the rooms are not luxurious but they are comfortable enough. I have stayed in lower price hotels in Paris in the past and had a terrible experience, not so here!
Our room on the first floor was modern, cute, and we had everything we needed. Liked the area. close to cafes, market and metro. Good value for the money. Very helpful and friendly staff. I would stay here again.
Over all, the hotel was pretty decent. It was very close to pretty much everything. Subway was a block from the hotel, bus was right around the corner, so was the taxi station. Restaurants and stores were about 2 minutes walk from the hotel. It is located outside of the main Paris attractions, takes you about 35 - 40 minutes subway ride to get to Eiffel Tower and about 25 to 30 minutes to get the Notre Dame area. My only problem was that the rooms were pretty small. I guess because the previous hotels I stayed in during my EU trip were bigger. Cant really complain since I was in Paris and most of the residential accommodations are somewhat small and cramped.
Right from check in the staff were very friendly. Helped with all of our questions and provided basic items that we had forgotten. Will definitely stay here again.
