When I got into my room I discovered there was no trash can, not hot water to the sink, and no bath towels. I called the front desk, at about 6:40 pm, to ask for bath towels and was told they were sorry and would get to it ASAP, but they were really busy, over booked, and under staffed. These are EXCUSES I didn't need to hear. Rather, I should have been told they would get me towels right away, or tell me where I could pick them up.
I waited 20 - 30 minutes for the bath towel(s), then remembered I had some old towels in my truck I have there to throw on the seats if I'm really sweaty or dirty from work. So, I got one of those towels and took my shower. I went out at about 8:10 pm to see a local friend, and there were no towels yet. When I returned to my room at about 11:20 pm, the towels were on the floor outside my room. They provided 2 wash clothes and 2 hand towels (which I already had) and 1 bath towel. I don't know when they showed up, but it was after I had waited at least about 1.5 hours.
Thankfully, the bed was REALLY comfortable, and the temperature control system good, so when I got to bed I slept well through the night.
The room was clean and appeared to be recently remodeled, but I had to use the ice bucket and its plastic bag as a trash can.
The person at check out in the morning was really sorry about the reported items, but I told him I didn't need more apologies as much as the manger needs to address these items.
