I found the property badly over priced. The rooms are the same size as a Hampton Inn. Hampton Inn includes a breakfast buffet as part of the cost.

For a Sofitel, there is so much to be desired. The room was large but outdated, it seemed from the 60’s. I went for brunch on Sunday at the restaurant and it closed at noon! On a Sunday! The carpets were not clean.

Used to be special…not any!
This Hotel used to be so special. Now the rooms and hallways are tired. Fees are high and documentation is out of date. Information on how the $20.00 credit worked and the reason for the "Urban Experience Fee" would have been appreciated. I can find out how much filet mignon for a dog costs but not why I am being charged $28.00 for nothing. Will not be back.

If you're staying in Philly, stay here!!
I've traveled all over the world and whether locally or internationally, choosing the right hotel is one of the most important aspects. From the moment we arrived, I was highly impressed with Sofitel Philadelphia. The location was unbeatable. In the heart of Philly near everything you'd want to see when visiting. The property is in a safe area, and offers fantastic shopping literally next door! Great on-site restaurants/ room service and plenty of other dinning options within walking distance. Regarding the service.. From valet attendants to maintenance personnel, the staff at Sofitel was exceptional! The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. I highly recommend Sofitel, and will absolutely visit again.

The rooms were not that clean (lots of dust) and they looked worn. Service at restaurant was also not good. When we asked for a quick breakfast as we needed to leave for the hospital we were told that everything would take at least half an hour. The front desk lady was resistant to serving us although we eventually got some toast and fruit although this took 25 minutes. They could see we had kids who were going to the hospital and we had got there as early as we could ( at opening time). I felt that the lady’s attitude was obstructive, unsympathetic and unfeeling. She seemed really unwilling to help with a straightforward order which could have been prepared quickly (we were not looking for a complicated meal). By contrast the front desk staff were lovely.
