The Lodge offers six king suites and two bunk rooms, and each room benefits from its own ensuite private bathroom. Wedding Weekend

We had a great stay this past weekend at the cabin. The cabin could use a good deep clean and a facelift in some areas, but the quick response and great communication from the property manager made up for the needed updates. The cabin has large bedrooms and plenty of room for a large group. We would book again.

Great place and location

We loved the house. It was big and had a lot of things for the kids to do inside and out. Adults loved it too with every bedroom having their own bathroom. It was in a great location so we could get to Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge very quickly. Everything was very clean. My only small complaint is that The ceilings in between the upstairs and downstairs rooms are incredibly thin so you can literally hear everything that is going on above you. I would suggest putting down some big area rugs to absorb some of that noise. Otherwise everything was great.

Perfect in every way

We were delighted with Caney Creek! Easy access, spacious rooms (including bedrooms), well-stocked, and COMFORTABLE SEATING. The children loved playing in the creek catching frogs and little fish. Plenty of hangout space for relaxing solo or with the group. Friendly and helpful staff. We loved it!!!

Creek time!

This house was perfect for our family, my brother’s family, my mom and aunt! Everyone had their own very large bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with every appliance and utensil you could need! They also had plenty of kitchen towels, scrubbies, and pot holders! The outside yard was absolutely perfect with the large fire pit, benches for sitting and right next to the babbling creek. I will be booking this house again for sure! Thanks for a wonderful long weekend!

Sensational Senior Trip

The lodge was perfect for a large group, offering large spaces to do things together and enough varied areas for smaller groups to separate if desired. They were quick to respond to any questions asked. Our students had a sensational time while making lasting memories. I would highly recommend this property!

Amazing Week Getaway

We had a group of 35 stay here for a week getaway and it was absolutely amazing. The cabin was spotless when we arrived and all the appliances worked perfectly. Had absolutely no trouble finding everything. A nice surprise was that the fire pit has been updated with benches and a gravel pit around it which made it easier for sitting around and making s’mores. Communicating with the owners was super easy, and they checked up on us to make sure everything was going well or if we needed anything. This was such a great experience for everyone and we will definitely be booking with Thomas Rentals Again!

Family Trip

Overall the property was a hit. The property provided the space we needed for the whole family. The Wi-Fi did not work most of the trip but it provided tons of conversation and eliminated the kids staying on social media the majority of the time. The place was clean for the most part and provided appliances that everyone needed to make the evening a success. The theater was everything and the creek was relaxing. The kids enjoyed the fish and turtles in the creek. The fire pit was also everything and provided a campfire atmosphere. I would definitely book this property again.

The property is perfect for a group with children. They loved the creek and we had many nighttime fires in the firepit. Also grassy area for bocci ball, wiffle ball and volleyball. The biggest problem was the benches around the table. They are poorly designed with everyone catching their foot or ankle on them. Also, needed new filters and it smelled moldy. Otherwise a very enjoyable property.

Wonderful family vacation rental

We had a great family vacation here! Very conveniently located within 15 minutes of attractions and downtown Gatlingburg and close to hiking, nature and the Smokey’s. Barbecue. double fridge and laundry were a plus. Theatre and gaming tables were also very fun for kids. Host was very kind and responsive. Overall great stay and would highly recommend the lodge at Caney Creek.

Mountain getaway

Perfect location to explore the smokies mountains. The children loved the cinema room, the game room but most of all the creek and bear sightings. It was a short drive to most pigeon creek and gatlinburg activities. The smokies mountain national park was minutes away! What a wonderful property and vacation for all. Comfortable, well stocked with basic needs cooking and bedding..

Caney Creek Lodge

Our family vacation was wonderful. The cabin was perfect for us. They were quick to fix any issues and kept in contact with us to make sure our stay was great! I highly recommend this cabin! We had 20 stay and it was very comfortable and gave us space to enjoy. Loved the backyard fire pit area too! We have no complaints!!! Great time!

Awesome House

This house was just amazing, we were very blessed to find it. It had all the room we need and they all had a bathroom. it was just perfect. Everyone had a great time. We love the game room and media room. We had little ones that like to explore so the fact that this house was ground level was just perfect. Also the house had a grill and a nice backyard for the kids. The only bad part was that we didn't book it longer and when we try it was already booked but other then that it was an amazing time and the adults and the kids were so happy.

Spacious and rustic

This property was clean and worked well for our group. The Property Manager was very responsive to our questions and followed up quickly on a request made after checking in. Extremely spacious upstairs and wonderful gathering space with sofas. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable. We had a hot shower every time for 24 women. Bunk rooms are more suited for teens or very young adults. The walls, floors and ceilings are all wooden with beautiful large wooden beams. Be aware that this is a beautiful look, but not a good sound barrier. Two coffee makers plus a pod coffee maker. This was wonderful and helped to make serving breakfast go more smoothly. Hot tub was a hit and enjoyed by many in our group. The weather was quite rainy, so we were not able to sit by the fire pit. The sound of the creek at night was very soothing. I would rent this property again for a group of less than 30. It says that it sleeps more, but less than 30 would be my target amount.

Snow snow snow

We stay for 4 days. Our first 2 nights was amazing. There are plenty of room for 30 people including kids. The location is very accessible to nearby grocery stores and attractions. The cabin was well equipped however it needs some more cooking tools. On the second we were there, there was a snow storm. The property looks very pretty during the snow but the blackout was the downfall. So our whole 3rd day we were powerless. The phone reception became so weak, by the time we had 1 bar of signal we immediately contacted the owner. They were very responsive but of course there’s nothing that they can do since the whole town was blacked out. Their water supply is controlled by power energy so meaning we were waterless and powerless. It would have been nice if there’s at least generator in the property. We have to get water in the creek for toilet use. We have to buy more charcoal for cooking. There were 3 griller outside but due to the severe weather one of the griller fell because it was loaded with snow on the cover. But we still manage to use the other 2. May i suggest that those 2 griller may need upgrade because it is shaking already. It is not their fault that there’s natural snow storm but we wished the cabin is more prepared in things like this. We felt bad leaving our dirty dishes in the dish washer and the sink when we checked out but we have no choice since theres no water. Over all we enjoy our stay i will still recommend this property for big groups but i highly recommend the generator since water is very essential.

51 yrs later still making memories with our amazing family.

We arrived at the cabin and it was beyond our expectations. The grandchildren didn’t know where they wanted to stay at the cabin and play games in the game room, watch a movie, or go fishing some of them even took a dip in the creek and they stayed in the hot tub loved it too . We did many things throughout the week from visiting Cades Cove to going to the National Park snow tubing. roller coasters, shopping made many memories. The mountains were absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our time here. We made family portraits at the cabin and again down in Cherokee. I cannot say Thank You enough Thomas Rentals for your sharing of your cabin as you allowed my family to make memories of a lifetime. The cabin was beautiful, large and roomy everything anyone would have wanted. I highly recommend your cabin to anyone they will not be disappointed you made our stay wonderful and for that I say Thank you again….Vera M
