Disliked: Cleanliness
Nice location but not recommended
We have stayed in many places all over the US and Europe and we hate to give bad reviews, but we feel it's only
fair to give future renters a heads up.
The pictures of this rental on the VRBO site are not current. We love Pinetop and the location was great. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet. But many things in the house were
old, broken, dirty, or all three.
In spite of the cleaning fee we paid, the house
and especially the carpets
were very dirty. Sticky finger prints on cabinet doors. No cleaning supplies were
provided for a
three month stay nor was cleaning offered. There was a giant cobweb we could not reach to remove in the main room. Both sets of stairs into the house had broken steps. The wood decks and siding badly need staining.
The host asked us to do a repair ourselves ( broken kitchen faucet). He also was aware
that the heat in the main bedroom was not working, although he did not tell us until he asked us to be present for
a repairman. Although the host offered to reimburse us for expenses, no discounts or refunds were offered us in return for these inconveniences.
This rental might be worth it at a reduced price, however it seemed overpriced for the condition we found it in.
We don't know the circumstances of the owners, but it seems like having a local property manager or representative would have eliminated some of the problems.
We would not stay here again for the price we paid.
