The neighboring rooms were being rented to long term people. Seemed like was housing homeless or people with addiction issues. People were smoking outside the rooms next to us and their ash trays had lots of cigarettes so they were there a while.

Overall I had a great experience, albeit the unpleasant smell the room has. The manager here is very kind. He allowed me to check in early, gave me some water when I asked, and others. His kindness helped my trip, thought to be quite hectic, become smoother. The facility is not new, so it’s understandable that amenities maybe somewhat limited. But the bed, pillow, floor, and towels are clean. That’s what matters. I stayed in the back, which faces a green belt, and that helps ventilate some air. The only thing I disliked was there was a strong odor in the room, not sure why.

Don’t stay in the back. Scary place! I think the manager tries his best, but people live here. I didn’t like driving through the mountains in this area. And I don’t like the rude racist town! People sleep in the cars in the parking lot and there are bears!

Staff and location to Plymouth State University was great. Sheets and pillows were clean and comfortable. It is an old motel but it was freshly painted and clean for the age of the property.
