Nice outlook from the room and a lovely little outdoor table to sit at. The pool was great. Restaurants were closed but we enjoyed Four Pines at The Farm which is just across the road.

We arrived at 5pm, got a call at around 4pm to say they were closing the reception so we picked an envelope with our key from a box. The room was spacious and the view from the bush with wallabies were very nice. Lots of cracks in the wall and a bit run down but overall fine, didnot bother us. It was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed that bit very much. At checked out staff was just taking the keys and didn't seem very friendly and not asking if it we had a good stay, just hi" and " bye". The breakfast was a big let down. The staff member was a bit unfriendly. There was barely any food at the buffet left and the hot breakfast was only on demand not a buffet style. We had few issues with our breakfast overall and was nit the best experience.

Pool area was nice, bed was comfortable. Massive ant problem in the bathroom, couldn’t leave anything in there as they were everywhere. Power points didn’t work and generally very run down. Advised staff who said they thought the problems had been fixed but obviously not.

This is a delightful place to stay in the Hunter. Its easy driving distance to lots of wineries. There is a bar and restaurant on site but they only seem to operate late in the week and on weekends. Really it was only a minor inconvenience as there are others not too far away. Overall we thourghly enjoyed our stay there and will most certainly be returning

Wanted to like, but just couldn't.
The good: Lovely, clean pool, beautiful peaceful grounds, visiting kangaroos on the lawns in the evening, dog friendly. The bad: Rooms more than tired, the sleeper couch was OLD and has a super thin mattress and the sofa part was heavily stained. The breakfast attendant was super careless, the breakfast was tiny and not worth the money. The ugly: Our feet were literally BLACK from walking around in our own room for 10 minutes. This didn't get better on day two even after the maid service was just through. It's fibe if things are tired, I get it takes time and lots of money to upgrade things. But there's no excuse for very dirty stuff. That's just sloppy and doesn't deserve my hard earned money.

This property is very outdated and not very well maintained. We were very disappointed to find there is no phone service & the guest wifi would work in reception but would not connect in our room. The taps in the shower and sink were dripping, the toilet paper holder was broken and the air conditioner was very noisy.

The mill restaurant for breakfast, service was terrible, food was very slow to come up, quite disappointing. Landline randomly started making noise twice throughout the night. Air conditioning blew straight onto bed .
